The key feature of this pistol is not the pistol but its bullets. the bullets are completely consistent, when fired they will always be at about 160ms. usually 161, i've only had the odd occasion it went 159.

Bare in mind the bullets are made to be reliable, and its the first prototype... the reload mechanism, now thats another matter... :lol:

The reload mechanisms are fairly basic, but it is the first automatic pistol i've made in phun/algodoo, and i actually have no idea how a real one works, so I think its quite an achievement for me!

and no thyme! except in the video you will notice impacted blocks were liquefied, that was a single piece of a code in the bullet tips. It is not in the scene uploaded.

Press enter to fire. when its empty, drag in some new bullets, then pull the pin up to finish reloading. I will add a video in a moment of how!

That's pretty damn cool! Goes 168 when you point it straight up, though, and about 155 when you point it down. Still really awesome!

@Frank: it is a bounce bullet mark 2. a short spring guarantees a preset speed, but constant doesn't let it to move that much.
while pointing up, gravity helps, and when down, it doesn't.

I imagine someones probably done it before, but it was my own design if bounce bullet mark II was a reference to someone elses scene lol. interesting discovery there with the speed variance, the description for the cause sounds spot on as well. I'd only tested the speed on a level and not at an angle, so i wasn't aware of that.
