i noticed that there were axles, so maybe it has something to do with the motor? but the bottom one has motors only, i think that the axle from the bottom circle help power the ones up there..?? I don't know honestly :s
What on earth? :o
Nevermind, I figured it out! The bottom circle has a MaterialVelocity of -6, so that's how it drives the chain.

You had me stumped!
Good guess, Little. You got it!

There is just one little detail that you missed: The bottom circle also has a motor that drives the circle in the opposite direction from the material velocity. It's mainly just to confuse people!
Xray, i have a question, is the decoration supposed to distract us?
i just noticed how slow new scenes are appearing, back in 2021 there was a new scene every like 30 seconds, but now you can literally see my scene and this scene on 1, even though its a whole DAY away!!
KahaanS -- Yes, the decoration is intended to cause confusion.

The number of scenes that appear per day may be very different than it was years ago. Different users.... different Internet.... Except for those two things I cannot think of any other reason why it's different. No one has ever asked me that before!
My memory of 2021 Algodoo is somewhat fuzzy but I remember it being somewhat similar to today -- maybe with a bit more BFDI in place of Numberblocks scenes though.

Also quote: "There is just one little detail that you missed: The bottom circle also has a motor that drives the circle in the opposite direction from the material velocity. It's mainly just to confuse people!"

I noticed it I just forgot to comment about it -- sorry

But yeah. Another important thing is, if I remember correctly, there used to be a lot more spam on Algobox -- in the past the 3-scene-per-day limit was only enforced via rules -- you *could* upload as many scenes as you want, you'd just get in trouble. Nowadays it physically won't let you upload more than 3 a day.

I was actually guilty of uploading 4 scenes a day once -- I had accidentally reuploaded one of my earliest scenes several times when I first shared it.

I'm not sure if this was before or after 2021 though. I vaguely remember a few users constantly uploading the same scene (with minor differences) 3 times a day though in the past, potentially for weeks on end.

Also in 2021 I was quite self-centered and didn't pay much attention to the rest of Algobox so that's probably a lot of why I don't remember '21 Doobox very well :(

(I'm so glad I'm not like that anymore >-<)
I asked my contact person at Algoryx when was the 3-scenes per day rule enforced with code and he told me it was on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. So, yes it was after 2021.

Xray, i hate to tell you this, but

An algobox user called "Stickmanorange17" had released sign up scenes on his algobox account as of July 16th 2026.

According to Algobox rule 8, voting, sign ups, and whodunnits are not allowed in scenes and scene descriptions. They are only allowed in comments.

I have already reported his sign up scenes because they broke the rules, so hopefully this finds you well.
@Xray I would like you to unban this user called "Punka1000" because he felt like he did not deserve to get permanently banned from Algobox and he is innocent. This is a ban appeal for him, hopefully this comment also finds you well.
Curtis -- How do you know Punka1000? Why do you believe his is innocent of breaking the Algobox rules? :s
@Xray well in January 2025 DANGA convinced Punka1000 to make an algicosathlon camp even though it was against the Algobox rules but he made one anyways and he was permanently banned from algobox and he is sorry and he really wants to continue his Algocompetiton, hopefully you've read this Xray.
and plus I wanted to inform you that a user who goes by "Stickmanorange17" has released several scenes containing sign ups in it as of July 16 2026.

According to Rule 8, voting, sign ups, and whodunnits are not allowed in scenees nor scene descriptions, they are only allowed in comments.

I have already reported his sign up scenes so hopefully this finds you well.
@Curtis -- Punka1000 is not innocent of violating Algobox rules! In fact he was warned the first time about posting camp and voting scenes, and then after being warned he did it again! I can give people only so many warnings about violating rules but then they need to be punished. Even after being warned and banned for 10 days the first time he violated the rules, he did it again! He was given multiple chances and he continued to abuse the Algobox rules. So, you see, I had no choice but to ban him permanently. When I ban a user, I leave a message on their account that explains why they were banned. The following is a copy of that message I wrote for Punka1000:

You have been warned numerous times about not posting "camp" scenes and you even have previously been banned for the same violation, and YOU DID IT AGAIN! You obviously have no regard for rules, and so, as warned this ban is forever.

Because of his disregard for rules, I will not unban him.
