You need:
1 large Charlemagne
3 cups of Frankish Expansion
2 tablespoons of Church approval
1 sack Saxon Resistance
A pinch of Viking seasoning
1 treaty of Verdun

Start with Charlemagne in a giant skillet of Europe. Sear on all sides with military campaign heat until golden.

Mix in Frankish expansion. Fold in territories vigorously from west to east.

Sprinkle Saxon resistance

Simmer with Church approval, stirring until thick alliances form. This helps bind the casserole.

Optional: Add Viking seasoning for that smoky, unpredictable kick.

Split with Treaty of Verdun when the dish begins to wobble from too many heirs. Serve in three uneven portions.
