I would like to add badniks, but I have no idea how to go about their movements. My main idea is to add motobugs and buzzbombers so far. I know how to do the hitboxes, but their movement mechanics are still unknown to me. I'm still trying to figure out how to script sprite animations. If anyone knows how to make sprite animations or a basic parallax background, please tell me how.

for scripting sprite animations, you could basically change the texture of the object constantly with scripts

as for parallax background, make the background's X position (your camera's X position * (any number)).
