I sometimes have fun plotting interesting patterns with math. A Mandelbrot fractal is a great example of beautiful patterns that can be created by calculating the positions of dots on a video display. The pattern that I made with math isn't as fancy, and it doesn't produce a pattern as beautiful as a Mandelbrot fractal, but it's something that I came up with and I think it's kind of cool.

Why did I get 4 triangles inside of one?
You got what you are supposed to get. The algorithm determines what the pattern will look like.
I tried to edit the code to make a square grid, unfortunately that got me nowhere.
Keep playing with it. Eventually you may create a different and interesting pattern.
For those who don't know, the pattern being generated is the Sierpinski Triangle.
That's correct, CPJchute!
