This is a carillon. It uses a keyboard like a piano to ring bells. the mechanism is shown in the picture beside it. The clapper is hung offset, not in the middle, and in real life, there's only about an inch or two between the clapper, and the lip of the bell.

Anyways, this is my first creation, so, enjoy!:)
