♫ Its rolling down the lonely road ♫

♫ Wondering if theres any place to go ♫
♫ Then he starts his journey all over again, ♫

♫ Hoping he will never explode! ♫
Why?
Great question!
How Did You Make This? Impresive, How The Ball Gets Bigger As It Gets Closer, Great Work
Thank you!

Q: How Did You Make This?

A: That's kinda like asking someone "How did you build your house?"

Well, the short version is, I have been playing around with trying to make 3D looking and behaving objects in Algodoo for the past few years. So, to do that in this scene, I first imagined what the ball would look like and how it would behave if it really did role down a real-life hilly road. I knew that as distant objects get closer to the observer, they appear to get bigger. So, I had to find a way to simulate the ball moving closer to me without actually moving closer. I did that by increasing the size of the ball as it moved from the top of the hill to the bottom. The only way it can actually move is from a high point on the displayed screen to a lower point. Since it starts out relatively small and it grows larger as it moves DOWN, it appears like it's moving CLOSER to the observer (ME). I used some Thyme script to make the ball roll though it's meandering pattern down the road and then shoot back up again to repeat the motion. So, that is basically how I made it.

Oh Okay, Thanks For Answering My Question:)
Yeah, ball rolling down is a hard script.
xray you are the best admin:)
whatvaheck -- Thanks, but if you think about it, I am the ONLY active admin here on Algobox, and by definition, that makes me the best and the worst admin all rolled into one!
omg:o
No, I'm just an Algodoo Admin.
Hi Xray, great to see you. Algobox was gone for me for a few months and I thought it was gone forever, what happened? Glad to see it again!
Hi wild bill! Great to hear from you after a long time. Concerning Algobox, it was never really gone. Something changed in its url security address (http rather than https) which prevented many browsers and anti-virus apps from accepting it. That issue did not affect me on my Windows computer but I was not able to access it on my Android phone. It worked for a while on my phone but something changed recently that prevents me from accessing it again. The guys at Algoryx are aware of the problem but for some reason they haven't been able to correct it. Hopefully they will fix it very soon!
