An experiment with something more conventional.

1. Hook the magazine onto the dark circle below the chamber
2. Slide the polygon piece on the magazine up into the lock
3. Pull the charging handle (on top)
4. Turn the safety off to fire. 1 (Semi-Auto) or A (Full-Auto)
5. Pull the trigger (orange)

To reload, push the bottom of the lock to the right to remove the mag, and repeat all steps above.

Surprisingly simple and rarely malfunctions.
