If you open the script menu on an object, there's a bunch of parameters - many of which aren't accessible through the Materials menu.

An example of one of these values (and my personal favorite!) is MaterialVelocity.

This scene attempts to showcase what all MaterialVelocity can do!

There are a couple experiments and a (rough) vehicle that all use MaterialVelocity in one way or another to showcase what it can do!

Just a note: The snowmobile here is mostly just to demonstrate MaterialVelocity - you are welcome to use it for offroading, but it's pretty cumbersome to control and the acceleration can be quite unpredictable.
