Ride the legendary star ship known as The Enterprise.

Note: There are no controls. The trip is totally automated.

Update: 1. Fixed bugs found by s_noonan (Thanks!)
2. Moved star generator (laser and circle) to [x=0.0,y=0.0] on Layer-1 so they are easier to locate for anyone wanting to use them in their own scenes.

Nice effect with minimum code.
Thank you. :)
s_noonan -- I was just thinking that my stars generator would be a nice touch for one or both of your "Postcards in Space" scenes. You are welcome to copy it if you want it.
Thanks, I appreciate the offer. I decided not to use it since it will overshadow the card effect and not match the video as well.

I have (2) issues with your scene:
1. The unilateral phase detractors should have balanced forces.
2. The malleable logarithmic casing has a large crack.

Regarding #2, I suspect that's asteroid damage.

very good but i not know how it works can you explain :)
ProfessionalSudo -- There is a laser located on layer1 which spawns circles with random velocities. The motion of those circles make it seem like the star ship is moving through space. It may be difficult to find because the laser is very tiny.

s_noonan -- Physics in the 25th century doesn't work that way. I only needed to adjust the timing on my flux capacitor.

I know how the rules list thing will stay up. It was released in 2024 when it's not even 2024 yet.
No, it wasn't released in 2024. It was released in 2023 with a future date put on it by the wizard of Algoryx. Only HE could do that kind of magic.
Then it is still top secret, but who cares about top secrets. How will "Quick List Of Rules" stay at the top?
Quote: "but who cares about top secrets."
Answer: Apparently not Presidents and Vice Presidents of the United States, both current and former!

Okay, kidding aside, an employee of Algoryx has the authority and the tools for faking the "date added" and some other parameters that describe the scene. By using a future date, the website will not move the scene off the first place position until that date actually occurs. I do not have that authority to do that, but they will do it for certain scenes if I ask them to do it.

That's it. No magic or wizardry!
Ok.
the scene is great, although the texture of the spaceship could simply be superimposed on a rectangle without cropping, it is also in png format
Algodoo has a built-in cropping feature which does a really good job. In most cases, an auto-cropped image looks much better than a rectangle with a (non-cropped) image. The only exception to that is the case in which I want to translate, rotate, and scale an image to make it seem as though it is moving toward and away from the viewing person. In that case, it's much easier to do the math for a rectangle or a circle than for a polygon.

Thanks for your comment!

Great work Xray, this looks fantastic!
Thanks Kile!
Looks really cool! But how can I copy the laser (I assume the code is in there)? I am not able to "touch" it, no matter which layers I (de)activate.
T_Reißig -- Enable the grid. You should see where bright vertical and horizontal lines intersect right above the dome at the peak of the Enterprise body. That is the origin coordinates [0.0,0.0] for the Algodoo world. Now zoom in, keeping that intersection in the center of the display. When zoomed in far enough, you should see the laser. The laser is located on layer-1. So, in order to edit objects on a layer other than zero, you need to select that layer. You do that by right-clicking on the background, then hover your cursor on the word "Layers" which will display the Layers control panel. Then left-click on "Layer 1" which should make the word turn red. Once layer 1 has been selected you will be able to copy or edit the laser which is located on that layer.
I was already close, just didnt know I also had to click on the name of the layer. ^^ Thanks. I also will remember the "rand.normal2D" for when I need it. didnt know it existed.
Here's a scene you might find helpful. It shows examples of all the random number functions that Thyme script has to offer:
