Here's a suggestion (although I know that you're not that experinced enough to do it, so do what you wish): Try experimenting with Thyme scripting and if you have a decent understanding of it, try using it when creating the game. This saves you time from making object-only mechanics (again, you're not that experienced enough to do scripting so again, you do you)

Also, please increase the text resulution to not make the text blurry. This task is so much simpler.
