Algodoo Cyclocopter Controls:

WASD are your main flight controls and feather your collective (up/down) and your cyclic (forward/back) controls.
Up and Down arrow keys adjust the throttle
Left and Right arrow keys adjust the tail rotor trim (should not need to be touched at all, but is used to trim your hover)
Enter toggles the ignition.

*Before flight, throttle must be set to full or the craft will not have enough power to fly*
!!all controls are incremental and stay where they are when you stop pressing a key, and do not auto-center. make small adjustments to the controls!!

All the control mechanisms are integrated into the control inputs in the cockpit and reflect realistic inputs, with some artistic liberty and adaptation to 2D. it ISN'T a helicopter; it's a cyclocopter, and has a few differences.

All power for flight is provided by the engine and is shared by the main rotor and tail rotor through a drive shaft. The flight dynamics of this aircraft have been augmented with a gyroscope, seen as the pink circle at the bottom of the mast. This just helps prevent excessive pitching and the tendency to flip upside down. Otherwise, it flies about as naturally as a real helicopter and shares many of the same flight capabilities and limitations, such as the ability to autorotate without engine power (but unfortunately not quite LAND), and obtuse pitching caused by retreating blade stall (don't fly too fast, or you'll flip).
