Make a catapult or trebuchet to launch the throwme box as far as you can!
RULES:
No scripts
No powered axles
No thrusters
No more than 16 springs allowed in one build
No density over 100
No restitution above 1.0 or below 0.0
No negative damping springs or strength over 10000
No adhesiveness
No attraction, positive or negative
No negative friction
No airfriction other than 1.0
No gluing to background
No editing the throwme box (moving and rotating is allowed)
Your build must fit inside the blue box, and all of its components must have 0 velocity and angvel

The scene automatically pauses when the throwme box hits the ground, and the score will be on the box.

can you use arfriction or velocitydamping? Can you stack like a hundred springs ontop of eachother to make it stronger? Can you manually set angvel? Can you use restitution? Can you use stretched axles? Can you use thrusters? I think this message may be a bit annoying.

ezpz - no air friction or vel damping. i didnt think of stacked springs, i say no more than 16 springs in your build. every component of your build must have an initial zero velocity and angvel. no restitution above 1.0 or below 0. you can use stretehed axles. you cannot use thrusters. your message isn't annoying, actually it made me aware of holes in my rules tht i didn't even notice.
Set frequency = 600, spring constant = 100000. Distance = 2292.
So I found another loophole in the rules, but I decided I'm gonna keep it. There was a limit on the *strength* of a spring, but not the length. This allowed me to make a piston cannon that sends the throwme box at 2 km/s instantly, the primary force bringing it to the ground actually being air friction. Anyway, that's why the top distance is about 5 km.
Can the collideset property be altered or it just has to stay at 1?

42flowermaster, you can change collidesets however you want, as long as you don't use scripts to do it or change the collideset of the throwme.
can you have an arm that extends or something? can you use timeToLive? can only the throwme leave the box?

ezpz, any part can leave the box, but no direct attachments to the throwme box (axles, springs, fixjoints) are allowed, and you can't just exploit the rules to make a spring engine and drive indefinitely far. You can have an arm that extends as long as it uses no scripts. time to live is coo too.
