The coefficient of friction between two surfaces is defined as the resistive lateral force between two surfaces divided by the force with which the surfaces are pushed together. This means that a pointy object that makes contact with a surface such that the coeffIcient between them is exactly 1 will be able to balance at a 45 degree angle while sliding across the surface, as shown. It is almost perfectly done here, but even Algodoo isn't perfect.
