I sort of slapped this together in like 2 minutes
This was a satirical joke that refrenced the fact that lunar eclipses would look like this on a flat earth, ignoring the fact that the earth would be between the moon and the sun.

LE would be impossible with the claims that the sun and moon orbit each other in a circle above the flat earth

I know that it's hard to believe, but there are some people who take this flat-Earth stuff very seriously. They really do believe that the Earth is a flat disk, and if you continue walking in a straight line you will eventually fall off of the disk into deep space! There are also some people who believe in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy.

Have you heard about "Rocket Man"? He was an ambitious flat earther, who had invested lots of money, time, blood, sweat, and tears into designing a rocket that would be powerful enough to make it just to the edge of space to see the shape of the earth for himself. This is ironic in 3 ways, because he had suffered injuries on his last launch, which led to his death. His rocket went about 1875 feet, which isnt even high enough to need a pressurized vessel. In fact, the highest a weather balloon can go is about 24 miles, which, at the scale of a classroom globe, is about as high as the thickness of a penny. Not quite near enough to space even then.
also, I know for sure the earth is round, because I have seen the ISS with my own eyes, travelling across the sky.

That flat-earth stuff is like a religion to some people. Say anything against their beliefs and they get very offended. Those kind of people will never be convinced no matter how solid the proof is to the contrary. The important fact is that smart and sensible people like you and me know the truth, and we understand basic science, which, apparently those flat-Earthers do not.

Very true. It's like playing chess with a pidgeon. They will walk on the board, poop on the pieces, declare itself a winner and fly away! lol

I've played chess with some PEOPLE who did that!
