Uses CDC mortality rates. This may be my last post, depending on how things work out.

Interesting and timely scene. Nice job, as usual.

Q: What do the yellow and green segments in the outer ring indicate?

I sent you a PM.
Q: What do the yellow and green segments in the outer ring indicate?
A: The segments in the outer ring represent surfaces that people touch. They stay infected for a limited amount of time. Yellow is infected. Green is not infected.

I responded to your PM.

I don't plan on leaving Algobox anytime soon.
This scene is a very good demonstration of why people need to stay put and not move out unless necessary to minimize the spread of the virus.
One way to reduce the chance of collision in the model is to reduce the size of the circles. Another way may be to decrease the initial velocity.
I actually did a simulation of it that tricks kids into learning about viruses by disguising it as a marble race!
It's still quite realistic compared to the other infection marble races, and I am working on a second version that will be better than the last!

EDIT BY XRAY: @Ken3344, I had to remove the link here in your comment to your YouTube video as I explained in my message to you. Sorry about that, but it had to be done this way. Thanks for your understanding.

Ken3344,

Nice work on the video. That must have taken a while to create.
s_noonan, I think you can't catch coronavirus if you've already had it.
This simulation was intended for diseases you can catch multiple times.
Anonymously Anonymous,

Thanks for your feedback. I agree. I made this scene before I found out that there may be some level of immunity if you survive. See COVID-19 Simulation II for a scene that takes immunity into account.
be safe outside! and dont come out
