This is a fun game for kids of all ages, and it's quite challenging. You have to figure out what angle to set the water nozzle in order to hit the three targets. Points will increase as long as the water strikes the correct target. But, be careful! If the water stream should fall upon the wrong target, or if it spins a wheel in the wrong direction, your points will decrease. You could very easily end the game with negative points!

Let me know in the comments your highest score, and also let me know if you have any problems with it, or if you have any suggestions for improvements. THANKS!

It's more fun to hit the targets without the arrows. Otherwise it's like trying to get ahead in traffic but always falling behind. My recommendations would be to slow down the hose angle motor for more precise positioning and to reduce the brake torque on the orange gear so it turns easier. Another idea might be to have the arrow fade before it switches. That way the user would know when it's about to switch.

The scene file size is quite large. I don't know if that matters these days. You have a 2.4M funnel image in your .phz that doesn't seem to be used anywhere.
@s_noonan -- Thanks for the excellent suggestions! I especially like the fading arrow idea. Good call!

You just described driving through Minnesota on I35 during Rush Hour!

You are correct. I was using that funnel for a different game that I never finished. I plan on going through my code and cleaning house some time soon.

Thanks again, my Algodoo friend! :)

Update: By the way, an easy way to increase points in this game is to just sit with the water nozzle aimed at a good spot on one of the wheels and just wait until a green arrow enables it. Then just sit there with the water spraying on it. If you can get the timing just right, you should be able to score more positive points than negative points. Since the game is not timed, you have lots of time to boost your points!

One approach may be to eliminate negative numbers (since they are a fairly recent invention). If you use small increments for non-arrowed objects and bonus points for the arrowed objects, then the scoring would be similar to a pinball game. That way players would not get their precious feelings hurt getting a big negative (loser) score (like me).

I believe that's why the FICO credit score has a +300 offset. 300 sounds better than ZERO, although they mean the same thing!

pb10 -- You are mistaken. I did not subscribe to you. When I click on your user name, it shows you have 2 subscribers but it doesn't show who they are. Why do you think I subscribed to you? :s

I got a bunch of negative points! Winning is overrated!
"Winning" here on Algobox is meaningless because it's too easy to tweak things (aka, CHEAT)!
my high score is -1321! that is fun
Hey. Just a few questions. Does the list of featured scenes change? Am i able to request for a scene of mine to be featured? Is there anything required before it gets featured?
Thanks,
UnityDogGaming04
Hey, no there is nothing you can do to get a scene featured. There are a lot of factors that go into deciding whether or not a scene gets featured in the "Highlighted Scenes" section of the Browse page. Some of the factors are: 1. The scene's rating by other users. 2. The number of downloads it got. 3. How often people commented the scene. And some other factors which I don't immediately recall. So, overall, it boils down to how popular a scene appears to be. I think that you might be able to find exactly how the Highlighted Scenes section works by researching the Algodoo Forum. As is the fact with most questions about Algodoo, you should be able to find what you are looking for there in the Forum. It's not all neatly laid out, and so it will probably take some time, and it might be a little frustrating, but the answers to most questions are there.
Hey! I got a high score of -2073! Ain't that a good performance?
(actually that puts me in second-to-last place but still good nonetheless lol)
