If you allow me I'll remodel your scene a bit and upload it as response to this one

Things to improve:
- set steam particle limit (for example maximally 100 particles)
- better code: Why are you destroying circle and then spawning new bigger one in it's place? Just make the first particle bigger
- spawning: If you spawn something, make sure it has same velocity as spawned surroundings
- limiting laser refractions: If you are using lasers like this, limit number of rays to 1, it also prevents from accidental triggering
