Font-Man will eat the English alphabet, and then he will spit out letters in correct order to display a word that YOU have entered!

Note: This may seem like a silly, nonsensical scene (which I admit it is), but I may use it as the basis for future games.

That is really cool! I was thinking the letters were gonna come out of somewhere
- Font-Man eats the entire alphabet.
- Font-Man starts spitting out letters.
- Font-Man spits out F.
- Font-Man spits out O.
- Font-Man spits out N.
- Font-Man spits out T.
- Font-Man spits out M.
- Font-Man spits out A.
- Font-Man spits out N.

Sounds like a game that a robot can commentate! :lol:
Here is a suggestion in pseudo-code that may or may not help:

Get a word by capturing keystrokes the same way that it is done in your "Guess Your Animal" game.
To feed font-man:
wordList := string.str2list("theWord").
targetPos := [-7.0, 19.0]
For i = 0 to string.length(wordList) - 1
<tab>letter := wordList(i)
<tab>letterPos := targetPos + [2.35 * i,0]
s_noonan - Thanks for the suggestion. Your method of capturing keystrokes is, no doubt, superior to the way that I did it in this scene, but to make such a drastic change would mean a total rewrite of the code. And to be honest with you, although your method of coding is obviously superior to mine, this is the way that I have been doing it since I first started learning Thyme scripting in 2012. In order to make such a change, I would have to go through a learning curve, which would mean bugging you for help, which I truly don't want to bother you with. My code isn't pretty or efficient, but for the most part, it gets the job done. And, unlike in the professional world, I don't need to be concerned about someone else maintaining it.

At this point, my scene is just something that popped into my head, and I have no immediate ideas for it other than maybe making some sort of game out of it. Or, maybe not......
Got it. I don't take it personally if you don't use my suggestions and suspect that you don't take it personally when I don't use your suggestions. Tight code is not as important as new ideas and proper functioning. Your scene is different, amusing, and works as advertised.
Thanks again. :tup:
