It is a running walker with two verry thin legs.
I thought it was a bit cool that such a simple thing, with such (small) legs can run. It is like many walkers cept in balance by a counter weight, and will usually fall over if it hits any obstacles.
the point of making it, was to show that you don't need a complicated machanism with sliders, springs and a lot of bars to make a two legged walker or runner that dousn't have huge feet.

reason we make those complicated ones is, to make them walk hard terrain. We would do simple like that if its purpose would be walking on plane.
simplest is better
Well. many camplicated walkers made to walk hard terrain end up walking plains. A simple rule is that smaller feet compared to the height, means more truble getting over obstacles. I just don't se how a 100% mechanicle stabelizing system is possible.
I saw a runner with an incredible, scripted stabelizing system. it could climb just about anything.
Anyway. I have made a runner that could run hard terrain, because of huge feet. It had a verry simple mechanism.
I do like those complicated walkers, but i don't think anyone will be able to make a mechanicle stabelizing system. PLEASE proove me wrong people.
awesome!
