For this to work you need to enable anti-aliasing.

Anti-aliasing on Mac carries a 200:1 speed penalty (that scene runs at 1% speed for me), so unfortunately anything that relies on it isn't cross platform. Hopefully Algodoo will have graphics-card AA support.
