A remake of the very popular "The Thing" by kristenburnout

I've been wanting to remake this scene for a while.
back when I was a n00b I really aspired to be able to create things such as "the thing".

So now now that I have gained more skill, I decided to remake it to challenge myself to make what I used to so inspired by even better :yum:

Controls are in scene

Enjoy!

WOW! This engine looks and operates so realistically! Very impressive! _o_
Thanks, Xray:)
Now i wanted to make my own one as well.
Its about time!

Well done btw:D
It's ridiculous for sure, but wasn't that the goal? :D

Great job. It's a little slow, but why care? Nothing can stop it
I expected real engine...:(
Very impressive details:)

10!
What do you mean? it is a real engine.
I just notice that:D It is real one!
I accidentally put the pistons on the wrong layer :bonk:
Earlier, I made a comment that the engine doesn't have a crankshaft or pistons, and therefore it isn't a real engine. But after further investigation, I realized exactly what you said about the pistons being on the wrong layer, and that's why I did not notice them! I since deleted my comment now that I see that it really is a real engine!

I was going to say, I actually did some digging and I found it's a collide engine. If I build one, I'm using a spawn one :D
I just updated the scene with the correct layers :)

pnvv: It was originally going to be a spring engine like the original scene, but I couldnt make it powerful enough and stay stable so I decided to make it a collide engine at the last minute.
I was gonna make it a spawn engine but that would have involved adding cams and such and I didnt want to deal with it haha. the scene already has way to many geoms

Good work. Looks good and operates well.

For easy reference:

The Thing by kristenburnout.
I just made my radial
4076 HP
Sick !:D
You're making a "thing" too? :D
vaidas, 4076 hp for yours? Does it weigh 3 kg? ( ) Speaking of radials, look at which extremely uncooperative type of engine I finally got to work a little bit!

I actually tested the engine in this with the Dyno V3 and it barely got to 40hp . It weighs 880 kg. and runs at 200hz. :/

Meanwhile, I almost done with my fire-breathing 563 hp Porsche

Yeah it's a crappy engine, I'm not denying it
