This is very poor model of the NaCl-molecule, here is a few reasons:
1. There should be longer distance between the two atomic nuclei, which is called bond lenght.
2. Sodium and clorine form ionic bond, which means that no electrons are shared: clorine atom takes one electron from sodium, and formed Na+ and Cl- ions attract each other, forming the molecule.
3. Salts are usually never found alone: they are always in a crystal lattice or surrounded by other atoms/molecules, like water.
