This is now able to run with gravity on, and air. It also now travels anywhere from 10000m/s all the way to 30000000m/s+(10 times the speed of light).

This update is by request.

I have found a bug where the cannon shoots backward at the third coil- this will be fixed soon in the next patch V3.1

Just out of curiosity here, why are you putting dates in your thread titles?

On-topic:
That's one major bug there, having a gun potentially kill the shooter because it shoots backwards
Millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. Something terrible has happened.

This gun is fail.

Won't go any faster then 90,000m/s
With out gravity (and air) it will reach 1,000,000m/s but going backwards.

Not FTL not even almost.

Btw
30,000,000m/s is not 10X the speed of light the speed of light is 299,792,458m/s
you claim your gun actually goes 1/10 of the speed of light.

Sorry, forgot two zeros. And it works better WITH gravity and air, and there may have been some change with upload. I am going to retest using the uploaded file.

P.S. I added dates so that each patch I will change the date to show when it was last updated.

Yeah, the upload screwed some things up... Unfixable. Future revisions might not come.

That's still very fast.
I'm not sure but i see that not all the script boxes are needed since ball accelerates on second(or third) one to ultra speed, and then skips the rest.

BTW You asked in scene description about how to not skip collisions at high speeds.
How about adding a 100m or so range laser to the projectile, that spawns much heavier ball that has fraction of projectile speed, and destroys itself after collision (density=0). The projectile could be able to "push" objects when travelling at 10,000m/s (100m/s in one frame).

Or when it enters the barrel set sim-frequency to like 1000 and as it exits set it back to 100 Unnoticable, reliable and kind of funny when you think about it.
