Remember, there are blocks that cannot be collided by the marble.
It shouldn't be hard to spot them as they are cracked.

Are you sure you are clicking the apple in the center?
It should add apples to the counter on the top-left corner. Anywhere else besides the upgrades to the right and the falling seeds won't work.

If you are referring to tapping in the mobile version, then I'm unsure whether I can fix this as this scene was made in the Windows version.
