This scene reminded me of a time when I tried to cut a very hard object with a pair of scissors. The object was propelled by the scissor action, and it flew across the room. That was a real world demonstration of the physics behind what makes this scene work.
You can get a more dramatic effect by lowing the sim frequency to 40Hz. But don't go much lower because the water stacks will fail to maintain their structure.
There is just one more thing that should be done if you are concerned with accuracy (and I know that you are). The girl is in the foreground, and therefore should appear larger than the people in the background, but she is smaller. Therefore, the perspective is not correct. If you adjust either the size of the people in the background, or the size of the girl in the foreground, the scene will look more natural.
I recently discovered that by changing the plane's "attraction" value, I can make some interesting patterns. You can make the value positive or negative for different effects. Try it!
It's interesting how that special shape of the cutout section in the bolt carrier pulls the bolt out of battery, and then locks it into battery when a cartridge is chambered. Excellent demo!
Try moving things around and experimenting with different things. When you hit on a combination of things that produce interesting structures, then save it. If you come up with something that you think others would enjoy, then put your own name on the scene and upload it as a response to this scene.
In the future, please give your scenes different names if they are different. For example, you uploaded two scenes titled Marble Race Tools. When I see two or more scenes with the same title from the same user, I delete the older ones, assuming that they are duplicates. So, if you upload more Marble Race Tools scenes, give them unique titles such as Marble Race Tools 2, Marble Race Tools 3, etc.
Holy cow! This is awesome! It seems like it needs a little work because the control keys don't seem to respond every time (maybe I was doing something wrong), but it has a lot of potential to become a great game or something! Do you have plans to do more with this in the future?
I sure hope that you will soon find some time to make AI. That will be even better than awesome!
I rated the scene a 9 only because the controls do not seem to work consistently. If everything worked correctly, then I would not hesitate to rate it a 10. Please try your best to add AI to the scene so that Lworm will be able to do some amazing things!
I finally figured out what's impossible. The challenge is to rearrange those colored rectangles to form the word "ALGODOO". I tried it and it certainly is impossible!
This is good! It reminds me of a PC game called "Gravity", where you have to make a rolling ball go over and through various obstacles in order to make it roll into a red button. Good job!
