It's a cartoon gun.

I cannot insert a cartridge because it explodes as soon as it touches any part of the rifle.
Not bad!

There are a couple of issues that I noticed:

1. The game starts out Okay and seems to run at a "normal" speed, but it very quickly begins to lag, probably after numerous poly's are spawned. Also, some asteroids are effected by missiles, and some are not. Also, some will crash into my spaceship, ending the game, and some will pass right through and have no effect at all. Would it make sense to give the asteroids different colors to indicate which ones are active and which ones are cosmetic only?

EDIT: I just now noticed that the lag is caused by the missiles that I fire. The more missiles, the more lag. Also, after the game has been running for a while, the asteroids no longer have any effect on my rocket, and my missiles have no effect on the asteroids. :s

0xB10C1DE - Why is my script "funny"? :s
s_noonan - One man's Terrorist is another man's Freedom Fighter. It just depends on who's side you're on. If you would take a careful close up look of the characters in this game (press #1 key), you would see that most of the images are of Osama Bin Laden who was no doubt a card-carrying Terrorist. Those other characters are just random images of people from middle-eastern countries who everyone knows are all Terrorists. So, every face in this game deserves to get a bullet through it.
0xB10C1DE - Thanks for your comments. No concerns about your English. You write better English than many Americans. :)
Yes, it works much better now!
Maybe I should change the targets from Terrorists to politicians and heads of State. Or, just in case there are any politicians or heads of state playing the game, I should make the targets just simple, non-living paper bull's eyes. Oh, wait! I might offend any bulls who might play the game. Damn! Maybe I should just delete it and make everyone happy.
This only works one time. If I put the small geoms back through they do not get smaller.

What is "hacker's golygon transformation"?

Sorry, but this is very confusing. I try to follow your instructions, but I cannot understand them.
Hmmm... never heard of that. Will have to learn about it!

Thanks
5 ain't bad. That was my best score also (I am an "older" person too! )
Okay, thanks! :)
sam2202 - I looked at your scenes, and most of them are very simple and have no theme. If you want other people to play your scenes and give you high ratings, you need to take some time to make good scenes that are interesting, educational, funny, or in some way, entertaining. Look through other people's scenes to get some ideas for scenes that you can make.

Hope this helps!
sam2202 - I suggest that you look at other scenes to get some ideas. People want to see scenes that are either educational, funny, or entertaining. They do not want to see a simple picture of a bottle of milk, etc.

Please do not upload "message" type scenes. We do not want Algobox turning into a forum. If you have a message to give to other users, or if you want to make an announcement, then please use the Algodoo forum for that.

Thanks
Thanks! :)
GOOD SCENE!!
Nice job! The one thing that I found inaccurate was the diameter of the BB. It is 0.125" (it should be 0.177). Sorry for being so picky! The scene is still a 10!
Darn, you are RIGHT!!!. My bad (as they say).

EDIT: After doing some calculations, I realized that 0.125 meters is 125mm, which is equal to 4.92 inches! So, even when considering metric measurements, the diameter of the BB is nearly FIVE INCHES in diameter! :o

So, if you wanted an accurate size in metric units, a 0.177" BB would be about 4.49mm (or 0.0049 Meters). Of course if you did that, then the entire rifle would need to be reduced in size.

It moves with the arrow keys (left, right, up, down), not WASD keys.

Good job!
I don't blame you! :)
It's a start! Keep learning more script, and you will soon realize that you have much more power to do things with Algodoo!

By the way, you should define your variables before using them. Your variable scene.my.text was not defined, and that's why it initially says "undefined". You can define your variables in the console, or in any text box (in the upper left corner) of any geometry. Simply enter scene.my.text := "" The colon isn't absolutely necessary, but it's good practice to use it when defining variables so that Algodoo will let you know if the variable was previously defined (it will give you a message in the console).

You can learn a lot about Thyme scripting by reading through the many posts in the Algodoo forum.
lololoer - Could you give an example of what the script would be to change the scale using surfaces/number? Thanks!
I wouldn't call this parkour. I would call it suicide.
My Algodoo locks up on this scene because the lag is so bad. Maybe reduce the number of pixels or figure out an algorithm that is faster and more efficient. The scene will get low ratings if you leave it as is. Sorry....
You should explain what this scene is about so that other people will understand it. Describe all the different parts. They make no sense to me, so it needs explanation. Thanks

Oh, and why did you title it "IRP q3 b1"? What does that mean?

Nice job!

When I first shot the gun, nothing happened because I pressed the F key too quickly. I soon figured out that you need to press and HOLD the F key for about one second.
Why do you use so many thrusters all bunched together? You need only one with the proper thrust value set.

I ran this scene a number of times and the cable car mechanism that rides on top of the cable keeps bouncing off and flipping over. Again, too many thrusters! Again, you need only ONE. But in this application, instead of using a thruster, you would have better results with a hinge (also called an axle). You can set the speed of the axle and control it with a keyboard key such as one of the arrow keys. Your cable car will run much smoother and be less prone to break the drive mechanism.

Hope this helps!
Um... I don't think you did this quite right. The spiral on the left accelerates the balls, but then you pass the balls to the spiral on the right which decelerates them! I think you need to feed the balls from the left spiral into the CENTER of the right spiral so that they can be accelerated even faster. I'm not sure if that would work, but I am sure that what you made will not work.

Thoughts?
Aln- - I fixed the tacos for you. Just edit my scene, and take the script for the tacos and put it into your own scene. After I see that your scene has been fixed, I will delete mine.

Hope you like it! :)

No driver either (must be remote controlled).
