I don't understand what this device is or what it does. Does it exist in real life? If so, could you please explain how this is used, and maybe give a website so that I could research it? Thanks!
In case you didn't know this, every geometry has a velocity damping property. You can use it to dampen the X, Y, or angvel axes. The property is called "velocityDamping" and each value can be between zero and 1.0. Play with it and see how well it works!
s_noonan - Yes, I knew that, but I was concerned that if I make the hole too small then the laser might not slice reliably. The laser end-point seems to taper off, rather than have a definite hard end-point, but I'm not sure if that is truly the case. I'll do some experimenting to determine what it actually does.
No need to make snide remarks. I was just wondering if this device was something you copied from real life, or if it was something that came from your imagination. Your title and description do not specify that.
Hey, this is really cool! I thought about doing a deck of cards many months ago, but for unknown reasons, I forgot about it. Now that you have done it, this opens up the door for card games like Poker and Blackjack. Nice job on the logic and math!
Pretty good scene, but it has a few bugs. First off, it doesn't start moving correctly until I play around with the control keys. Then after it gets moving, when I press down or up (S or W) the plane always moves toward the sky or toward the ground even when in a steep bank. A real plane does not do that. Pitch, yaw, and roll are always in reference to the aircraft, not the outside world. You have a good start. It just needs a little work to make it excellent.
Hi marioblox6 -- Welcome back to Algobox! Your lotto scene is pretty good but there is room for improvement. First off, in a mostly "automated" scene, it's best not to require the user to use the manual tools (such as the rotation tool) in order to make the scene work. Better to have the scene do those actions through control keys or the mouse. The reason is, users often "mess up" a scene with manual tools because they don't usually use them correctly. Here is a lotto scene that I made a few months ago. You might be able to get some ideas from it: POWERBALL LOTTERY MACHINE
This scene just needs a little more work, and it will perform much better!
