There's problem. The crayons push the paper away, making it impossible to draw on the paper. You can fix that by making a few changes:

1. Remove all collision layers from the paper (uncheck the checkbox for the "A" layer).
2. Glue the paper to the background.
3. Move paper to the "back" layer (right click on the paper, then on the "selection" selection, click on "Move selection to back".

After doing that, you should be able to pick up a crayon and draw on the paper. But there are a couple more issues:

1. The crayon's trace only lasts a few seconds. (you can increase the time that the trace is visible by right clicking on each tracer, then increase the "fade time".
2. The crayons not only draw on the paper, but they also draw on the sky! That will be much more difficult to fix, but I'll leave that to you (I can't do EVERYTHING for you! :lol: )
You don't need anyone to tell you what to make. Just look around the house, school, stores, and even on TV or the movies. There are lots of things that you can try to duplicate with Algodoo. There's machinery, appliances, games, vehicles, and lots of things that you see while riding around in your car (or your mom's car if you don't drive). If you can't get any ideas from the real world, then look through the Algobox archive of scenes. There are many thousands of ideas that you can get from going through other people's scenes. I'm not suggesting that you copy anyone else's scene. I'm only suggesting that you can get good ideas that way.

Hope this helps! :)
wild bill - Thanks! Yes, I too recall the scratching and hissing of the old 78rpm records. Those were the "good?" ol' days. :lol:

bugsbunny - I looked through your comments to other scenes, and you seem to have some trouble making them work. Maybe you have a slow or outdated computer, or maybe you are using an older version of Algodoo? By the way, I love your cartoons!
It's not a real game of war. It's just a picture of a video game character. Why not make a game with Algodoo instead of just a picture?

What are the controls for this robot arm?
Какие кнопки управления?
Why did you title this scene "lklklkd"? Why not give it a title that people can understand, such as "Bike"? And your description "ddddd" explains absolutely nothing about the scene.

Suggestion: If you take the time to make a good scene, at least take the time to give it a title and description that people can read and understand.

Thanks
Thecareditior -- It's perfectly Okay to make a contest. Just announce it in the Algodoo Forum on the "Contests" page here --> CONTESTS
Neon-Ix -- Sorry, but I can assure you that I am not your father. Your mother will confirm that what I say is true. :lol:
No problem! It's good to show different methods of doing something.
I thought only chickens can make an egg. :lol:

Interesting scene, but there are no instructions. Also, what should we expect as the final outcome of mixing ingredients and cooking on the stove? Nothing seems to happen after turning on the heat.

Totally confusing. :huh:
Yup, runs very smooth. Good job! :tup:

Just one suggestion: List the control keys in the scene like you did in your first scene of this engine. People who haven't downloaded your first scene (and people who don't have a long memory, like me) have no clue what keys make the vehicle move and brake. Thanks!
Nice demonstration! :tup:
Gent is correct. You can get rid of those errors by removing the colons in the following script-

scene.my.color1 := [1.0, 0.5, 0.0, 1.0];
scene.my.ball1 := 2;
scene.my.ball2 := 1;
scene.my.color3 := [1.0, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0]

A colon is used when you initially define a global variable, such as a "scene.my" variable in the console. If you try to define a variable that has already been defined, Algodoo will squawk with error messages.

So, for example, that first line should be changed to -
scene.my.color1 = [1.0, 0.5, 0.0, 1.0];

I haven't checked to see if there are other script in your scene that use the colons, but if there are, then they should be removed too.

Exception to the rule: You do use colons when you spawn a geometry. For example, when spawning a circle with a specific color, the color script line should be -
color := [1,1,1,1]; (or whatever color you desire). The same is true for all of the geometry's properties.

HUH??? :s :huh:
hiltropper - No need for perfection here on Algobox. I estimate that about 60 to 80 percent of the scenes being uploaded are pure garbage. So, even reasonably good scenes are very welcome! Don't worry that your scenes might not be "good enough", as I'm sure they are much better than that! :tup:
Can you be a little more descriptive and explain what the glitch is?
Works well. Good job. :tup:

I like your PID Control scene too!

Welcome back to Algobox. I hope to see more great "technical" scenes from you! _o_
Holy cow! You must be a video game designer (if not, then you SHOULD be!). Nicely done, very realistic. Even the Gook with the AK47 looks real!:tup: _o_

Very nice! It looks good, and most features seem to work, but I was not able to make him run. He keeps falling on his face. Maybe I am doing something wrong?
I tried pressing up and right. He takes a few steps, but then he falls on his head. If I hold the right key down, he takes a few steps, then falls, takes a few step, then falls, etc. Sorry, I still might not be doing it correctly. :mad:
"annoting car"? :huh:
How do you control the white paddle? No instructions!
Yes, I noticed that too. The front legs don't move at all, and that might be why he falls on his face. But why would it work Okay for Alien_RG and Wild Bill but not for me and Lompilomp?:s

PHUNGL - Thanks for telling Hidcore about the rules. In this particular scene, it is a functional scene, and not just a text message. So, in this case I will allow it.

If the main purpose of a scene is to announce a future contest, or to post a message about any topic or subject, then it would not be allowed and I will delete it. In other words, if the message is one that should be posted in the forum, rather than in a scene, then I would alert the user and suggest that he/she post it in the forum. I do look at every scene that gets posted to determine if it stays or gets deleted. That's my job.

Thanks again. :)

Very nice detail. Good job! :tup:
Now that I know how to play it, it's AWESOME! Excellent game, and well made._o_

BTW - Welcome back to Algobox! Any chance you might work on your "Evolving Creatures" scene again? I would love to see it in completed working condition! :tup:
I agree with lucnan. You are very good at making animations, and we would like to see more of them. They are AWESOME! _o_
