Here's a suggestion for you: Before you save a scene on your device, make sure that the main characters or objects in the scene are CENTERED on your screen. That way the main characters or objects will show in the middle of the thumbnail image when displayed on Algobox. If you don't do that then your scene might get deleted by the Admin because it looks like a blank or empty scene like this one does!
FYI - I am the Algobox Admin. So, if you ever have any problems with Algobox (this website) or with Algodoo (the app that runs on your device) let me know by leaving a comment in any of my scenes and I will try to help you.
Click the word "Subscribe" just above the ratings bar. You can also subscribe to your own scenes so that you will get an alert each time someone comments on the scene!
@s_noonan -- Thanks for your interesting comment. Who those faces belong to is interesting but is irrelevant to the premise of this scene. I simply searched for "Thatcher Effect" and a lot of weird-looking faces showed up!
Brownian motion is the random, erratic movement of microscopic particles suspended in a fluid (liquid or gas), caused by collisions with surrounding fast-moving molecules. First observed in 1827 by Robert Brown, this phenomenon provides direct evidence for the kinetic theory of matter and the existence of atoms.
This looks like a really cool game, and it's obvious that you spent a long time making it. Unfortunately I'm having a difficult time trying to play the game because it's not clear HOW to play it! For example, there are four answer choices for each question but each choice is blank until I click on them. So, how can I make a selection when they are initially blank? Also, there are various things that require certain keys to be pressed such as "home" and "end" to start and stop a timer but you make no mention of them in the game. Suggestion: Place a text box somewhere in the scene that explains how to play the game and what keys need to be pressed for any special functions. I'm sure that most people trying to figure out how to play this game would appreciate some instructions!
Fun Fact: There's an Easter Egg hidden in the game. If you can manage to get a final score of ZERO points (warning: It's not easy to do!) then the Easter Egg will be revealed.
Thanks for the feedback, ploters! You are correct about the unrealistic motion of the ball. That is something that I struggled with in the previous version of the game and I had planned to improve the physics of the ball and pins in this version but it didn't get done because of too many other things going on in my life.
I appreciate the fact that you noticed and then commented about the weird ball motion, and now you gave me more incentive to correct it because I now know that someone actually cares about it!
I will get to work on it as soon as I can. Thanks again!
