I don't get the point of having an adjustable nut. Please explain.

By the way, the nut can be unscrewed until it leaves the bolt and then it floats away. Was that intentional?

Edited note: Ignore my comment. I just realized what this is used for. In fact, I have such an assembly on my JD lawn tractor. It's used to adjust the V-belt tension for the belt that goes between the transmission output shaft and the mower deck drive pulley.

Good job on the scene.

I was wondering the same thing!
42flowermaster -- Thanks for your comments. I don't know what to tell you about that problem you reported because I haven't experienced it and no one else has mentioned it. Sorry about that. :(

Nice work on the scene.

This mechanism reminded me of the Recirculating Linear Bearing that you posted back in 2014.
Random fact: This game cannot be played because of rule #1: Dont pause or unpause the scene.
Yes, of course. I was just having some fun with it. ;)
Good job, mateo7041!

I noticed one thing that's kind of strange, but it can be easily fixed. When the car goes by a house, the car goes BEHIND the house and the trailer goes in FRONT of the house! You can fix that by selecting the house, then hold down the Shift key and role your mouse wheel forward (toward your computer screen). That will put the house in the rear layer relative to all other items in the scene. In other words, the car, trailer, and the FedEx van should all go in front of the houses. Then test it to make sure it works the way you expect it to. If it tests Okay, then save it to your computer and then edit the scene on Algobox with the updated scene file.

Except for that little glitch, you did a great job on the scene.

Nice job on the scene.

Suggestion: The 3D shapes look Okay, but it's not how we view things in real life because the objects lack "perspective". In other words, objects (and parts of objects) look smaller as the distance from our eyes to the objects become farther away. If interested, check out this article about Graphical Perspective

The car and trailer now both pass in front of all the small houses but you forgot to fix the last large house. It still has that original issue that I told you about. Your testing wasn't quite thorough enough! ;)
True, and I especially like how you did the box that closes when the ball is put into it. That's really cool! _o_
You can make whatever you want to make.
This is awesome!
Yes, Good job!
Nicely done!
Many people don't recognize an allegory when they see one. Even after I published one of my other allegory scenes with the title An Allegory people are still clueless about the intrinsic message. You are very perceptive, s_noonan!
Yes, you are correct. And, sadly, much of how people view a situation was molded by how the story was presented to them. Rather than digging deeper to find the truth, they just accept the information that the NEWS media spoon-feeds them. People have grown accustomed to passively receiving their "news" which, in my opinion, is mostly sanitized garbage that was sandwiched in between a torrential flood of advertisements.
It's not the first 3D marble race. I did a search and found 5 or 6 other scenes that claim to be a 3D marble race. This is one of the better ones: 3D Marble Race Concept

I was planning on having some ketchup with my fries until I saw the expiration date. I decided I didn't want ketchup anyway!

Nice job on the scene!
Suggestion: When displaying text in a box (like you did in this scene), don't just accept whatever box color and text color that happens to show up when you create the scene. In order for text to be readable, it should have a contrasting color with the object it's sitting on. For example, if your text is white, then choose a dark color (dark blue or black) for the box. If your text is dark or black, then choose a light color for the box.

Th....th....th... that's all folks!
Looks good!
Okay, great!
I crammed a bunch of the marbles into his mouth and then he exploded! :o
Wow, you guys are sharp, but a_bored_coder was the first person to come up with the correct answer. Congratulations!

I figured that there's no point in waiting any longer for more people to chime in with their answers, so here is the logic of how this puzzle is solved:

There are eight different combinations of ages that fall under the first hint, "The product of their ages is 36". They are: 36*1*1, 18*2*1, 12*3*1, 9*4*1, 9*2*2, 6*6*1, 6*3*2, and 4*3*3.
Obviously, the Census Taker could not determine their ages just from this information.

The second hint, "The sum of their ages = the house number" would have provided the answer if all the sums were different, but there are two combinations that produce the same sum: 9+2+2 and 6+6+1. Because the Census Taker told the home owner that he needs more information, his statement indicates that the house number is the same as the sum (13) of each of those two combinations.

When the home owner declared that his "oldest son was born in the month of July", his statement then provided the needed information, that there is an "oldest son". Therefore, 6,6,1 could not be the correct answer. The fact that the son was born in the month of July has nothing to do with the result, but only served to add some confusion!

The son's ages are 9,2,2.

Thanks, Cool_S. I appreciate your comments! :)
I don't understand how to "aim" the spawner. I mean what determines which number block I should aim my next spawned block at?
42flowermaster -- I know how to use the arrow keys and I know how to spawn the blocks, but what I was asking was What Do I Aim At When Spawning The Boxes? For example, let's say the next box to spawn is a number 2. What determines if I want to drop it on an 8 box or on a 16 box? That's what I don't get.
Nicely done. The scene is interesting and educational.
Okay, now I get it. THANKS!
