I see that you edited the scene but you did not fix the misspelled word. Of course you don't have to correct it if you don't want to. It was just a suggestion, not a demand.
I tried to weigh that square box next to the scale but when I placed it onto the scale, the scale fell apart! I guess the box had too much abstract weight!
@Smallboi -- Maybe. First of all I need to know what browser you use for uploading and downloading scenes. If you use the Algodoo built-in browser, then STOP using it because it has all kinds of known problems. Better to use a standard Internet browser such as Chrome, FireFox, or Edge.
Well, it looks like it does SOMETHING. There's a guy way up high holding onto a rope. And it looks like a competition like the guy is supposed to swing on the rope to see how far he can go. There are also other "athletes" standing in line waiting to have a turn. So, is this a static scene that does absolutely nothing? Are we supposed to just LOOK at it? OR, if it does some action then you should specify WHAT keys we need to press or how we control it with the mouse. Static, do nothing scenes are really boring!
It's exactly what it says.... It's the total number of scenes that the user has downloaded from Algobox to his/her device. The "you" is the user who you are looking at. It's not YOU, the person looking at another person's stats. I realize it's confusing, and it really has no value as far as I'm concerned but someone, many years ago, thought it would be useful.
Welcome to Algobox! In case you didn't know, I am the current Admin and have been for about 8 years. If you ever have questions about Algodoo (the app) or Algobox (this portion of the Algodoo website) just leave me a comment on any of my own scenes and I will try my best to answer them. You can see all of my scenes by clicking on my username. If you would like to have alerts whenever someone adds a comment or replies to your comment, simply click on "Subscribe" which is located right above the rating bar on the scene that you are interested in. When you subscribe to a scene, you won't need to keep checking it to see if anyone added a comment. You can also subscribe to a particular user by clicking on the user's name. When his/her stats are showing, click on "Subscribe" and you will receive a notification (the words "New Messages" will display at the top of the page). You can subscribe to as many scenes and users that you desire. Whenever any user that you subscribe to uploads a new or an edited scene you will receive a notification.
Yes, you can do whatever you want in your own scenes and their comments as long as what you do does not violate any rules (such as the use of profanity, threatening or insulting others, or using Algobox for purposes that it was not intended to be used for).
Okay now I have a question for you. What is this "moon zone calculator" used for? It might help if you can explain what it is in the scene description, OR you can provide a link to a website or a YT video that explains it.
Here is a link to that video in the proper format so that people can click on it in your scene description. One thing you must change though, after you copy it, in order for it to work is please delete the space character between the words "you" and "tube" at the start and at the end of the following script:
After you delete those two space characters, then copy the entire script. Then click on "Edit" at the top of your scene description, and then paste the script into your scene description. Then save the edited scene description to Algobox. You should then see the link to the YouTube video in your scene description!
Hey WasherFan5727.... If you learn how to write text in your scenes then they will look much better. You do that by right-clicking on a box (like the red one in this scene) then hover your cursor down to "text". Then hover over to the black text area and write your text. If the text that shows up on the box is too small, then move the "text scale" slider to a higher value until the text looks correct. You can also change the text color so that it looks good. TRY IT! I promise your scenes will look much better!
If you click on the "Search" tab above and search on the word "animation", you will find MANY different ways that people have made animations with Algodoo. It's amazing how versatile Algodoo is because there are many different ways to achieve the same effect!
Okay, no problem. I make suggestions to help people but it's up to them if they want to do what I suggest. If you have any questions about how to add text to a scene please feel free to ask me in a comment and I will try to help you.
Yes, I deleted it because it violates the rule that says personal messages are not allowed in scenes or in scene descriptions.
And the other reason I deleted it was because the scene was intended for me and for no one else. So, there was no point in leaving it posted for others to read.
Suggestion: The next time you have a comment or a question for me, leave it in one of my scenes comments section. I will see it and respond in that same scene comments section. There's no need to post a new scene just because you want to tell me something. Okay??
Ryan1 -- That has happened to other people too, and I'm trying to figure out WHY it happens. For starters, can you please tell me what version of Algodoo you are using? Is it for Windows or MAC?
@smallboi -- I'm not sure if all five spotlights are supposed to move but just in case they are, I'm reporting that the lights numbers 2 and 5 (from left to right) do not move.
I would like to develop it further by adding the ability to set the current time, and to base the actual time on "system.time" but I need a little help with understanding your script. Please explain the following:
1. Names of variables that hold current minutes and seconds and where they are located.
2. Script that is used to keep time and where is it located? How does it work?
3. Anything else that you think will help me to make these added features.
In case you didn't know this, "Mits" was the name of an early computer company that made a hobby type computer in 1974 known as the "Altair 8800". Cool, huh?
You're welcome. It will probably take a few days because I want to do it properly. I may also ask for your opinions on some of the new features before I publish the completed scene. Before I will call it DONE we both must like it!
