When you get grounded, it could mean one of many things:
1. When you are grounded during a lightning strike, the lightning will surge through your body and will vaporize your blood within just a few milliseconds. If you are lucky you will become unconscious and die before your brain registers any pain.
2. Your mother made you stay home while your friends were out partying and they were all talking about you being grounded.
3. You are actually quite intelligent (isn't that a surprise!) and you thoroughly learned a new subject. That means you are "well grounded" in that subject.
4. I can't think of any other ways you can be grounded. If anyone else can think of more ways to be grounded, please add them here in the comments.
Oh, by the way, your scene shows a person getting "ground" by gears. It's a different word from "grounded".

What you said is true for now, but who knows what we might find up there when we go back to do more exploring. Then later, the planet Mars will be our next big challenge. These are exciting times we live in!
casualalgodoouser -- Don't worry about rjoseph. He sometimes acts like he's an Admin here on Algobox but I can assure you that he's not. He means well, though.
Suggestion: Disable the Algodoo clouds because they are distracting and it makes no sense to have clouds with an indoor scene.
Aside from that, the scene looks good and I will play around with it later. I am one of those hobbyists that you mentioned who used BASIC back during the 1980's when I got my first IBM PC computer running DOS-3.11!
Another interesting mechanism! And nice work on the scene.
Just wondering: Can this mechanism be modified so that the blue lift arm would raise and lower with a linear motion (like a scissor lift or elevator)? I can think of many applications in which a linear motion would be desirable.
