Yes, very nice work!

Suggestion... In the box labeled "Play Mode" you have a script in PostStep that is: App.GUI.playMode = true The problem with that is, when the scene is paused by the user, it will stay in Play mode. A better script would be: App.GUI.playMode = sim.running (in UpDate). That way the scene will automatically come out of Play mode when the scene is Paused.
This is really funny!
Looks great! Would you mind listing the actual gear in the comments (camera and lens make and model numbers)?

I'm interested in astrophotography too.
AWESOME! :)

By the way, I have a second-generation night vision scope mounted to my camera. My camera is a Pentax model K-x. No tracker.

I can see many more stars and planets with the night vision scope than I can with a standard telescopic lens. The ISS looks awesome during the times when it's visible over my area (central U.S.).

Good work on the scene.

Just a note about the homing procedure depicted in your scene. It seems rather odd to me. I am familiar with the traditional stepper homing procedure as shown here: Step Homing Demo Do you know of any actual real world equipment that uses the homing procedure in your scene? Why the sawtooth motion while approaching the Home sensor?

Your scene brought back many good memories from my younger days when I worked for a number of industrial automation companies. Many of the machine tools that I helped to design were multi-axis, and most of the larger machines used servo motors. Steppers were used with mainly small table-top machines. We also implemented a number of different limit switch and Home switch configurations. The more complex machines used a combination of position loop and velocity loop control schemes. I was one of those lucky people who loved the work that they did! :)

Try this one. It's really interesting!

colorHSVA = colorHSVA + [pos(0), 1.0, 0.0, 0.0]

....and this one is even crazier!

colorHSVA = colorHSVA + [pos(0) + pos(1), 1.0, 0.0, 0.0]

FUN STUFF!!!

Okay, but I highly advise you to take some time to eat and sleep when you're not too busy staring. :'(
Great! Tell your friends (if you have any).
Yes, I sure can!
Just curious, who invented the AHOX computer? Was it you or Kutis96?
Thanks!
Nice update! Now it homes in a manner that I know and love.
Cool!
Nice effect!

Suggestion: You can make the "fireworks" easier to see by changing the water color to white or red or some other color that will contrast with the blue sky background.
Ummm... "Downloads" are the scenes that YOU downloaded! They are not your scenes that other people downloaded. I thought you needed to know that so you don't continue thanking people for something that YOU did!

Now, it's different for each scene. For example, as of this date (April 25, 2022) this scene got 86 downloads. That is the number of downloads that OTHER people have done. But on your main page when someone clicks on your user name, "Downloads By You" is the number of scenes that YOU downloaded from other people's scenes. Maybe a little confusing but that's how it is.

This scene says "Made with: Algodoo v2.1.0" which is the latest version that most people here on Algobox use. Anyway "Downloads" means the same on older versions. They simply updated the wording from "Downloads" to "Downloads by you" on the newer version because people were confused about what that means.
ezpz(fib)5 -- Thanks!

s_noonan -- I originally had the Roadrunner show up too, but decided not to use him because he did not fit too well in the overall story. Maybe he will make a cameo appearance in a later episode.
The BLUE marble wins!

Okay, kidding aside... when I started this scene for the first time, I thought that the three colors would just mix all jumbled together at the bottom, but when the colors actually blended with each other, that was totally unexpected.

COOL!
Awesome lightsabers (except they don't make that "wooshing hum" sound that the lightsabers in Star Wars make).

Good job!

Explain WHAT? :s I see the spinners and the laser beams bouncing off them, but I don't understand what you are asking. It would help me and anyone else to answer your question if you could be clear about what you are asking.
ezpz(fib)5 -- Sorry, I never have used that function in any of my scenes. I looked for information about it in the Algodoo Forum but could not find much of anything there about it. If I recall, user s_noonan has used that in one or more of his scenes, and so I suggest that you ask him about it. You could comment him on one of his latest scenes.
Very clever! _o_
Overall, nice job, Evan!

I have a suggestion for this scene. You can mask off the Algodoo clouds so that they will still show in the sky but will not show in the ocean by doing the following:

Add another plane which is the same height as the plane you used for the water. But instead of the "A" (transparency) value being 50% like the current one, make it 100% (totally opaque). Also make sure to uncheck all of the collision levels so that nothing will interact with it. Then, finally, while that new plane is still selected, hold down the Shift key then roll the mouse wheel forward one or two clicks. That will move the plane to the rear-most layer which will block the clouds but will allow everything in your scene to still show. Then save the scene and upload it again to Algobox. But instead of uploading a new scene, you can "Edit" this one by selecting "Edit" then enter the location of the edited file on your computer. Any problems, let me know here in comments.

Oh, one more thing. I see you are using an older version of Algodoo. You really should download the latest version which is v2.1.0. Some older versions do not have the updated functions and features that the newer version has.

Did you create this scene on a mobile phone? :o I would be impressed if you did!

...and if that's the situation, then I can't help you because I use only a desktop computer with Algodoo.

No idea what to comment.
Not sure what you mean by "join" a scene. I assume you mean "download" a scene. Anyhow what you might try doing is RESET Algodoo. Here's how: Launch Algodoo but DO NOT click the RUN button. In the upper-left corner of the screen, you will see a white gear next to the word "File". Click on that gear. When the Settings panel opens, click on the tab labeled "Reset" and then follow the instructions. After Algodoo resets, it should work normally. If it doesn't, then uninstall Algodoo from your computer and download the latest version from the Algodoo website.
Good job! This scene is quite clever and entertaining!

Suggestion: Next time you make a scene that you want to share here on Algobox, make sure that the main part of the scene is centered before you save it on your computer. That will ensure that the displayed thumbnail will show the main part of your scene here on Algobox. Your current scene shows nothing but a large green square. That's because you zoomed into the green plane before saving it.

Thanks
KendraZitt -- Welcome to Algobox!

In case you did not know, you should never use the keyboard "space bar" as a control for anything within your scenes because the space bar is also used by Algodoo to RUN and PAUSE the simulation. You can use "Ctrl" key or "Shift" key or virtually any other key instead.
