No, both of our computers run Windows-10, but mine has about double the RAM that her's has. I don't know if that's what makes a difference. Oh, and her's is a laptop and mine is a tower type desktop.
I think the problem is caused by that black bar (which the stylus is attached to) does not remain horizontal when the stylus moves up and down. The black bar ROTATES, which is causing the error in the resulting trace. So, instead of allowing the black bar to rotate as the stylus moves up and down, you need to alter the mechanism that drives it so that the black bar remains horizontal at all times. That will make your trace follow the stylus much more precisely.
Well, that depends. If the ban is temporary, then they would still have their right to say whether another user can upload items or entire scenes that they created. If the ban is forever, then they have lost their rights to anything that they have published in the past. Keep in mind, that according to the Algodoo Terms of Service all users agree (by registering their user account) that everything they publish becomes the property of Algoryx (the company that owns this website). The company allows users to say whether or not other users can upload their creations, but that's where it ends. It's only a courtesy given to users by the company. Their scenes still belong to Algoryx, and the company can do whatever they want with them.
KGameX -- Check out the scene that I created to show you another way to make that tracer device. Let me know if you have questions, and I will delete it when you are finished with it.
Yes, I know that you can make him stop in mid-air and even make him fly backward. That's because of the fact that he is a human Alien on an extraterrestrial planet.
You are correct, officer Noonan. It's always best to reduce added file size as long as image quality is still acceptable. I'd be the first to admit that I don't always consider file size as long as the scene generally looks good and operates as expected (and also if no one complains about it). If I were still working as an engineer for a company, then those kinds of details would of course be considered. But when doing this Algodoo thing for fun as a hobby, well......
Don't feel bad, faytree. I didn't even know what "sus" meant until I asked some kid a few months ago. And the funny thing about it was, HE wasn't quite sure what it meant either! I asked him, "so, what does it mean? SUSPEND? SUSPECT? SUSPICIOUS?" He then said, that's it! I think it means suspicious!
It's not a bug. You just randomly stuck some circles together with a bunch of springs and some other shape. The entire mess is nonsense, and that's probably why it behaves like it does.
I made those changes to the script as shown in your comment, but there's one detail that doesn't look quite right. That is, the lateral velocity of the flyer is constant regardless of how fast forward he is moving. I think it would be more realistic if the lateral velocity would track the forward velocity. I tried to make that edit but no matter what I do, it just doesn't work quite right. If you know what needs to be altered for the scene to work that way, could you please point me in the right direction for that to work?
How does the speed that you pull the key out of the lock determine whether the lock will be locked or unlocked? That doesn't make sense!
By the way, your lock is very delicate. Even when I'm being careful to not break things, parts will come flying out of it! Also, every time I insert the key, the tumblers start to shake and shimmy uncontrollably.
This scene is a good start, but it needs some work.
Thanks, Kay_149. I made it hard to play because I knew if I made it too easy then people would complain about it being too easy. I find that most people would rather play a game that is hard to beat rather than being too easy to beat because they like to be challenged.
I don't understand why you would upload such a rough, unfinished game. There is so much extra "junk" in the scene, I can't figure out what to do with all that. Also, I tried to play the game but the computer lag was horrible, making the game totally unplayable. Part of the problem may be the huge number of "scene.my" global variables that you use. Your scene would run much more efficiently if you can convert many of those global variables to local variables (local (also called "custom") variables will make your code run more efficiently in areas where you don't need global variables. Local variables that you intend to save with the scene must begin with an underscore character. Underscore characters are not needed in global variables or local temporary variables.
I have posted a lot of games over the years here on Algobox, and I never posted what you call a "teaser". No one likes to play an unfinished game, especially if there are a ton of problems like yours has. Sorry for my negative critique but I am just being honest.
Much better than your teaser! I can actually play the game, and except for some minor lag, it works quite well. Good job!
I'm fairly certain that the lag is mostly caused by my computer being fairly old. I bought it new about 7 or 8 years ago, and I had only a minor upgrade of memory since then. So, I think I'm ready for a new one. I'll see if wifey will buy me one for my birthday in April!
I watched that YT video earlier today before you posted the link to it. I don't know how you play the daily Wordle game, but I usually start with "AUDIO" and go from there with my own gut hunches, which are often correct. So far I failed to guess the correct word only one time which was the one for today's game. I won't divulge the word because some people reading this comment may not have played today's game, but I guessed a valid word that was off by one letter. BUMMER! I blew my 100% rating.
