Unfortunately, there are lots of scenes in the Algodoo archive that have plenty of gore in them. Gore, by itself, is not against the rules, but make sure that you don't violate the rules in other ways such as by using profanity (cuss words) or sexual content.
This is interesting stuff but it's way outside of my knowledge base. Just wondering if you've used these equations in any of your prior scenes? If so, which ones? If not, were you planning on using them in a future scene of yours?
That "human" in your rocket ship must be a tiny baby because its total weight (head plus body) is only about 10 Kg. Maybe that's why the rocket is so fuel efficient!
Someone did that to me a few years ago, and ya know..... he was right. He caught a mistake that I made in my scene, and because of that, I learned something from it!
Oh, by the way, I see that you used a math function called "math.pow". I think it has something to do with raising a number (or a calculated value) to a power, but I'm not certain. I couldn't find any details about it in the Forum. So, would you be so kind as to explain how that function is used (syntax)? Thanks!
No! It's much simpler than that. It's a straight line walk in the park. But our path is curved because a massive object like the Earth causes space-time to curve, and that curvature causes the illusion that we are falling toward the Earth! Einstein got it right!
The coding seems to be a little overly complex for such a task, although I have never tried to duplicate it with my own version. It's a useful feature, and if it can be simplified and made easy for others to implement, it could very well become popular and used by many.
Issues: 1. Movement of the control slider and the text is choppy. Maybe make movement smoother if possible. 2. When I move my cursor off the slider and then click on the text, the text suddenly jumps to a different position.
Well, there is way too much to learn than I can explain here in a few comments. My suggestion to you is to search the Algobox archive for other scenes which do animation and see how they have done it. A few people have done it by simply deleting the series of animation frames in a timed manner. They use little or no script. Search on the word "animation" and I'm sure you will find lots of scenes to learn from.
Quote: "I still haven't found the best way to predict the amount of text to put into the text box...."
That cannot be "predicted" because people often change there mind "on the fly". Maybe you can have the user click a button when they are finished entering their text, and then at that time you can format the text as needed for best viewing comfort. One other thing to consider (if you haven't already) is the fact that the text font can be changed by the user. That might complicate things even more for you!
Why would that guy kick "old people" in the shins? Does he believe they are all frail and weak? Some day an old person might just punch his lights out!
I presumed that the "you" was a non-specific third person. I knew that the guy in the scene was not me because I don't look anything like him. In any case, I'm sure you know that abusing the elderly is not considered acceptable or tolerable by most caring and empathetic persons. In fact, it's illegal in most civilized countries.
