BTW JohnG -- I see that you have been busy finding lots of Rules violations (such as swearing, exceeding the daily scene limit, etc). I appreciate the help, and I was wondering if you were campaigning to become an Admin?

I already chatted with s_noonan about being an Admin. I believe he would be a good one, but it just won't work out for him at this time.

I am not currently looking for a replacement, but there are times when I might be gone for some period of time for whatever reasons, and it would be a good idea to have someone who could take my place for those time periods. There are other Admins but they are no longer active, and they don't seem to have any interest in it any longer, especially since the Algicosathlons and camps started becoming so popular with the younger kids.

I cannot devote 24/7 to Algobox, and so I cannot possibly catch every violation. And so I do occasionally get help from some users like yourself who report those things that I miss.

One type of violation that I no longer go after is "scene stealing". It's virtually impossible to know what user originally made what scene or what marble, or what whatever. So many scenes and parts of scenes get copied and uploaded here on Algobox that I would be spending most of my time chasing down who made what if I wanted to pursue those types of violations. The rules state that scenes should not be copied and uploaded without permission from the original maker, but that rule cannot possibly be enforced. So, from now on, don't bother reporting that kind of violation because I will not waste my time with it.

#1 and #2: I have considered those while making this scene. Most people don't realize how much time and effort it takes to make even a simple game that looks good and plays well. Some of the games that I've posted took many weeks of design, construction, and debugging. But it's something that I really enjoy doing and sharing, and so I don't consider it a chore. I doubt that I will make any updates to this game because I like working on new stuff.

#3: If I did that, people would immediately shut down their computer out of fear from the horrible noise!
