Does anyone else besides you know what a KLOSKTI is?
Ummmm.... this is a WHAT? :s :bonk:

Edit: Because I got no response from Rubelino, I did a search on Google and found out what this scene is about. Although there are probably very few if any people interested in this sort of thing, there is no need to worry about it getting reported because, as far as I can tell, it does not break any Algobox rules. Most importantly, it does not promote another website.

Did you get permission from user "dare" to copy and upload his roller coaster scene? You made a crashed section of track, but except for that, the entire scene was originally made by him. SHAME ON YOU if you did not get his permission! He worked hard on this scene and he spent many hours designing it and making it work. How much time did YOU spend on it? Maybe 5 minutes?
Something that I noticed now that I did not notice back in 2012 when you posted this scene is the following:

While clusters of particles are revolving around the container, occasionally a small number (maybe 1 or 2) particles will manage to rotate around as many as 3 or 4 times without making contact with any of the surfaces. The way that you programmed this scene, it appears that particles must collide with the surfaces of the container in order for the transfer of heat to occur (aka, conduction). In real life, particles would also transfer heat through convection within the liquid. I don't see that happening here.

Am I correct about how the scene works, or did I miss something?

Some people call them "water towers" or "water glitch". Algodoo users have been reporting this behavior since 2009 when Algodoo was first published. It's a quirky behavior of water which never got fixed, and will probably never get fixed.

I don't know if the math is correct (but judging by your many other scenes it probably IS correct) I would say that the scene "seems" more natural now. Again, nice job!
Nameless, you did a great job on the real-time leaderboard!

Normally, we do not allow posting leaderboards because they are usually posted as an announcement after the fact. That is, they are posted by themselves in a scene to indicate some fictional (make-believe) Algocisathlon event that supposedly too place in someone's imagination. But the way that you did it, is quite different, and therefore will be allowed. Again, nice job!

Exactly!
It's a play on words, JohnG. C'mon, lighten up!

Thanks, MyNameIsStupido! Some people are smart like you and quickly understand the joke. Your user name should be "MyNameIsSuperSmart".... :)
Thanks.
Go ahead and make your own scenes instead of just talking about my scenes and other people's scenes. Let's see how clever you are!

BTW- s_noonan already posted a Cosine Wave Function scene.

That signpost tries to be "normal" but it cannot because it's irrational.
Not true. You had NINE words, to be exact!
That's true.

By the way... That guy better watch where he is driving or they'll never make it to their Honeymoon!

Is the experiment for you to see how many people can figure out what to do with this scene? Well, I have no idea what this scene is supposed to do and how to make it work. <_<
WOW! Good job, so far! This should become a really great game when finished.
Yes, you DID do something! You increased the mass and density to extremely large values. That's why it acts so strangely. Please don't lie next time you post a scene. <_<
If you decide to add cans, then you MUST add Algo-Sound!
Update: Can't be done with permanent magnets. I built a proof-of-concept model out of foam-core, and hot-glued some strong magnets in the positions where the wires normally would be anchored. The system is inherently unstable. It's the same problem as when trying to make permanent magnets levitate on top of each other without spinning them.

It may be possible to do this with electromagnets, but the magnets, the wiring, and the power supply would make the project so large, that it would be impractical. Everyone looking at it would know right away that there's more to it than just "magic" happening.

From now on, I'm going to spend my retirement doing things that (I know) are physically possible.
I think you might be confused about how to use Algodoo and Algobox. <_<
JohnG -- sim.timefactor = 1.0 (1.0 is the default speed. A value higher or lower will change how fast the scene runs. It has the same effect as the manual slider above the Run button).
Nicely done! Did you use any of Maxwell's equations in your calculations? Just curious.

Just one note about the in-scene instructions. #3 says to use the Move Tool, but the Move Tool is not available while the scene is running in "Play Mode". It would need to be stopped, move the circles, and then start the scene again. Other than that detail, it works great, and is quite interesting!
That's exactly how I do math too! For example, I'm currently playing around with a missile targeting scene. I know the basic equations for finding the trajectory of a missile that are required in order to intercept a moving target, but I don't fully understand HOW they work. And so I am tweaking the calculations and adding "fudge factors" in some areas in order to make them work for my situation. The more I play with them, the more I'm beginning to understand how and why they work. FUN STUFF! :)

BTW - I don't understand Maxwell's equations either but I do understand how important they are in designing things that use magnetic fields. Maxwell was an incredible genius.
That's sounds like an interesting idea, but a Tensegrity bicycle might look rather strange to a bystander watching it go by!
Quote: "I wasn't talking about a tensegrity bicycle, I was talking about a tensegrity table...."

I know! I was trying to be funny.
True, Algodoo is certainly an amazing product.
Nicely done. Good job!
I just realized those tools actually ARE available during Play Mode, but in a different position on the screen! I'm so used to selecting tools from the list that shows up on the lower-left side of the screen that I forgot that they also show on the bottom of the screen just to the right of the sim control buttons during Play Mode. So, you can ignore my comment about the Move Tool not being available in Play mode. That was my mistake.
