It's virtually delicious. Thanks! :lol:
ทำได้ดีมาก Jeff! ฉันมีความสุขที่ไ้เห็นฉากทางเทคนิแทนการแข่งขันหินอ่อนและฉากเด็ก ๆ
It shows a lock because it's the WRONG SCENE! You uploaded your "Lock MK 4" scene, and then you gave it the wrong title "Pulley System". So, you need to EDIT this scene on Algobox by uploading the correct scene from your computer.

Interesting scene, s_noonan. :tup:

I might try to build a Tensegrity Table out of metal because I own some metal-working tools (including a lathe and a mill), and I might also try to replace one or more of the wires with strong magnets. I think it would look more impressive if the upper and lower sections could be separated and held in place with magnets instead of with wires.
Yes, we already knew about water towers (literally!).

It works perfectly now. Good job! :tup:
Quote: "...most are somewhat compliant in regards to a side load or a torsional load."

I think that will be the biggest challenge when using magnets, but I have nothing better to do (I'm retired) and so it should be a fun project (or experiment!). :)

Certainly, as long as you do not post more than the limit of 3 scenes per day.
There's nothing "high quality" about your scenes. You downloaded some pictures from the web and posted them in scenes. Anyone can do that!
Explosion??? :s Nothing exploded. :huh:
You need to learn how to spell in order to be "totally accurate". <_<
Brickwall -- I have a few things to say to you. I say these things not to be mean or insulting. I say these things to help you to become a better person here on Algodoo.

1. Do not create a new comment for each new sentence or thought that you have. When you do that, it clutters up the comments section of a person's scene and makes a mess for everyone else. THINK about all of the things that you want to say to someone, then write it all down in several sentences (like I am doing here).

2. If you want to learn more about Thyme scripting, I suggest that you read the many posts in the Algodoo FORUM under the heading of "Thyme Scripting". You can learn a lot by reading the many questions and answers that were posted over the past 10 years. I could maybe answer a question for you once in a while, but I will not spend many hours of my time as your personal teacher. Most people learn about Thyme scripting by reading posts in the Forum and also from looking at the scripting in scenes that other people have created.

3. Be careful that you do not break the rules! For example, you have already broken two of the Algodoo Rules. They are: 1. We do not allow personal messages to be posted (such as your message to me). 2. The maximum number of scenes allowed to be posted is three per day. You recently posted four scenes in one day. Those kinds of things can get you banned, so I suggest that you READ THE RULES and make sure that you understand them before posting more scenes.

Thanks,

Xray, Algodoo Admin
I take it that English is not your primary language. Right? Nothing you say makes any sense. :bonk:
Hey, mori-d.... I'm happy that you are back on Algobox making more of your awesome scenes! :tup:
so comments
god yes
Jean Baptiste Joseph Fourier (1768–1830) would be proud if he were able to see your work today! Nicely done, and I join s_noonan in welcoming you back to Algobox! We hope you will stick around and post more of your amazing Algodoo scenes. :tup:
Watching this scene is somewhat hypnotic, and very interesting! Nice work, as usual. :tup:

By the way, I have had only THREE favorite scenes listed on my main user page since I first learned about Algodoo many years ago, and one of those scenes is YOUR'S! The scene is Zippo Lighter . I have always been amazed by that scene. It's AWESOME!

Wow! I was expecting another super-boring childish marble race, but what I got was something totally awesome! It looks like what would happen if our galaxy were to go nuts and explode like the most insane galactic war between star systems. BOOM! a thousand times over!!! NICE JOB, MyNameIsStupido! WOW! :tup:
"...someone so delightful".... Were you being sarcastic? I hope not because I was being honest about how I enjoyed your scene.
Great! I'm looking forward to more of your scenes, also. :)
I would like for you to be banned, plz.
I noticed that the PacMan character bounces around like a helium balloon, and he never points in the proper direction in which he is travelling. Well, I have a fix for that. PacMan is made up of two polygons, and so you can put the same script in both polygons at the same time like this. Select both polygons, and then open the "script menu". You should see a total of two polygons. In the script menu, add (copy and paste) the following script to "postStep":

keys.isDown("up") ? {
angle = {1.65}
} : {};
keys.isDown("down") ? {
angle = {-1.4}
} : {};
keys.isDown("left") ? {
angle = {3.3}
} : {};
keys.isDown("right") ? {
angle = {0.0}
} : {}

What that does is it makes pacMan face in the correct direction when any one of the four arrow keys is pressed.

EDIT: By the way, those numbers for the angular directions are not what they should be, and that is because of the fact that the pacMan texture does not "fit" correctly on the polygons. If it did fit correctly then the numbers would be multiples of pi (such as pi/2 and 2pi). So instead of pi/2 (which is 1.57) I had to use 1.65. And for pi (3.14) I had to use 3.3. That's why I had to use those oddball numbers. :lol:

I could also show you how to make PacMan open and close his mouth as he moves, but that requires a lot more complexity, and I don't think that you will want to spend a lot of time and effort to do that right now. So, maybe some time later.... :)

I see that you got rid of one of the pacMan polygons. GOOD! Now you need only one to worry about! The instructions to make him point in the correct directions are exactly the same as before except you only need to add the script to ONE polygon instead of two. :tup:
Anyone wanting to add a comment to this scene, first consider the date that it was originally posted: 2009-08-12! The last scene this user (davidz) posted was back in 2012 (about 8 years before I posted this comment)! So, he probably is no longer active here on Algobox, and therefore will probably no longer read any new comments.

davidz, please let us know if you still read comments that people write for this scene. If you do not, then people shouldn't bother writing comments to old scenes like this one. Thanks!

Xray, the current Algobox Admin as of the date of this comment.

This is an English speaking web site. Please write scene descriptions and comments in English. If you do not understand English, then you cannot understand the Rules.
Atom bombs aren't supposed to be funny, but I couldn't stop myself from laughing when I saw this one explode! :lol:
Epic? What's so epic about it? :s
WOW! Nice job! :tup:
Now make a scene that shows a standard traffic light (here in the U.S.) with Green, Yellow, and Red lights. When the light is Green, the Sim runs. When Red, the Sim stops. When Yellow, the Sim runs at slow speed. The lights switch being ON automatically, just like they do at most intersections. Can you do that?

EDIT: BTW, this scene you made doesn't "stop the simulation from running", but rather it "prevents the simulation from running". It's a subtle but notable difference.
