lololoer - Thanks! :)
It's always best to describe what keys control the objects in the scene. When you do not, then people have to try and guess what keys do what.

BTW - Very good job on the scene!

I recently discovered that I can press 2 or more number keys at the same time to get very strange patterns. Try it!

dragongirl - This is not a game. It's simply a demonstration of things you can do with Algodoo. And yes, you are right about that girl not being my wife. I was just making a joke so some guys might be jealous of me!

Actually, my real wife is much prettier than that girl.

Um... your scene says "To move the cars press "W". But that doesn't work. The left and right arrow keys make the cars move!
I think it would be helpful if you were to give one or two examples of what you can do with a stretched axle. It's a good tutorial on how to make something, but for people who have no idea what stretched axles are used for, they might be confused.

Thanks!
Not bad for a new Algodoo user!

Friendly suggestion: Check your spelling before posting your scenes.

Thanks!:)
dragongirl - Thanks for your comment!

You do not need to post a new comment if you make a mistake. You can EDIT your comment by clicking on the little blue piece of paper and yellow pencil next to your comment date and time numbers. Try it!
There are a few other Rolling Bridge scenes on Algobox. Some are pretty crappy, and some are about as good as this one. A couple of them have vehicles that drive over them, such as this one.

Awesome! (I really like those curling cars! )
Nice job, Fastlane24! This plane flies VERY FAST!
s_noonan - No, I did not add script and delete it. The process was simpler than that, but when I try to duplicate it, it doesn't quite look right for some reason. Here is how I think I did it (I should have written down the exact procedure!): Create a box that is the same height and width of the tessellated structure. Add the desired texture file (the one that you want to use for the tessellated structure) to the newly created box. Select the box, and adjust the position of the texture so that it looks correct (usually you can press the mouse thumbwheel to automatically position the texture). Then open the script menu and highlight the TextureMatrix array. Press Ctl-C (Copy). Now select the entire tessellated structure and add the same texture file to all of the boxes or circles (whichever your structure is made of). Then highlight the Question mark that you should see in the TextureMatrix window. (It is a question mark because the matrix values are different for each box or circle of the tessellated structure). Now do Ctl-V (Paste). You are pasting the TextureMatrix from the other box with texture into all of the boxes of the tessellated structure. Now you should be able to use the Texture Tool to size and position the texture. You may need to adjust the brightness also.

Like I said, this procedure sort of works, but for some reason, it's not perfect. Maybe you can figure it out from this point. If you do, please let me know how you did it!

That was a big mistake when I told Faytree about "scene.exit"! :bonk: )|(

(You do know that I'm joking, right Faytree? ) :)

Hey, that works very well! I don't understand the code, but after studying it for a while, I should be able to figure out how it works.

THANKS!!!
Good job, as usual!
Good tutorial. Nicely done!
I felt sorry for the poor ragdoll. He seemed like a real nice guy.
If it's stupid and not worth playing, then why did you upload it to Algobox? :s
I am American. Welcome to Algobox! ;)

Suggestion: You should show that complicated key sequence in the scene so that people will have easy referral to it.

Thanks!

Awwwwww.... So cute.

I happen to be a dog lover and a dog owner, so these pictures are special in my opinion.

I would adopt every homeless puppy and dog in the world if I were able to. :)
vaidas369 - Does it really matter if dragongirl is a boy or a girl? :s
You copied this from MY scene. Can't you come up with your own ideas instead of stealing other people's scenes?

When you make a mistake in your scene, you can correct the mistake by EDITING the scene. You do not need to add a comment that you made a mistake.
_o_ Very impressive effect! Simple, but effective script! _o_

I rate this a solid 10!
Sorry, but your description of the scene is confusing. :s

SUGGESTIONS: Why make people erase the fixates? It's not a good scene when you require that kind of task for the users. It's best to make the scene stand on its own so that no user editing is required. Users should only need to use control keys or mouse to make things move in the scene.

Hope this helps. :)
Your scene has a major problem. As soon as I start the scene, the car falls down and there is no ground level to stop it! So, it continues to fall all the way down to the center of the Earth. :o

Edit - Okay, if I turn gravity off, the car no longer falls, but then it doesn't move correctly with the arrow keys. The scene still has some major problems. Just letting you know in case you want to correct them.

The arms and head will move better if you enable "Brake" for each axle. Check the Brake checkbox. That way, the motion will stop and the arms and head will stay put, rather than flop down after you release the key. Try it!
Interesting game, and quite challenging!
While playing with it, there were a few times when the rotor and stator would separate, and Algodoo repulsive forces would prevent them from realigning into proper position again. In that case, I had to restart the scene. Failure occurred when I released movement of the rotor when the green fins were directly over the red fins (at the exact center point of the left/right rotational forces) either with an arrow key, or when I used the drag tool.
This is FUN to play with!

I made a couple of improvements that you might consider:

1. I changed the Restitution to 1.30 (You do that by selecting the entire blob, then right click anywhere on the blob which will display the menu of parameters that you can change. Point your cursor on "Material" and a sub-menu will display where you can adjust the Restitution as well as other things. Change the Restitution to 1.3 and then close the menu.) Increasing the Restitution value will make the blob bounce more. But be careful not to make the number too high because the blob will explode if you do! :o

2. I changed the color of the blob to orange, but of course you can choose any other color for it. You can even give it a texture. I just think that any color besides white would look much better!

Nice job!:)
