JohnG -- I did not report you. I am the Admin here on Algobox, and I am the one who sent you the warning. We do not allow those kinds of scenes because, contrary to what most of the kids here think, Algobox is NOT a game, and we do not want it to turn into a game. Algobox is simply a place for people to share their scenes they made with other people. The scenes themselves could be games, but this web site named Algobox is itself not a game. I wish you kids would understand that.

s_noonan, The Widget Master!

If it were allowed, you could make good money here on Algobox making widgets for people! Unfortunately, well you know.....

Nice work!
What exactly do you need help with? Be specific, and maybe I or someone else will be able to answer your question. Just leave a comment.
Those cut-away images of a human arm look like a Porterhouse steak I had for dinner last night. Juicy and tender. Yum, it was deeeeeelicious!

Interesting concept for a hands-free doorknob, but you can never guarantee that the occasional inane moron won't sneeze on it or lick it with their tongue for some unknown reason. I guess nothing is idiot-proof.

Good job on the scene's form and function!
What is MQE?
Many tech companies now make remote door locks that you can operate from your smart phone. If that technology can be used in a remotely operated doorknob or latch, then doors would be able to be opened and closed without human contact at all. Maybe all residential homes will someday be retrofitted with automatic doors, not unlike the ones we see at every grocery store.
pb10 asked: "is there a way you could make it so that the money would show up on like some other square......"

Answer: Yes, of course. But if you ask me will I do it, the answer is no.

pb10 asked: "also could i copy this scene?"

Answer: Of course you can copy it. You can copy any of the thousands of scenes that are in the Algobox archive. But don't you dare copy anyone's scene and then upload it back onto Algobox as if you created it! And, as I have said numerous times, just giving credit to someone is NOT the same as asking permission from the original owner of the scene. And that brings up a different issue. So many scenes here on Algobox have been copied, modified, and then reuploaded by other people, that it sometimes becomes impossible to know who owns what. Was that blue marble that you copied originally created by s_noonan or by Xray? Or was it created by some user back in 2009 when Algodoo was a newborn baby? So, can you see the problem with copying and then reuploading any scene here on Algobox? If you are created, try making your own scratch-off lottery ticket scene. Then you can make it work in any fashion that you want it to. It will be YOUR creation instead of something you copied from someone else.
Test97531 -- What exactly are you testing? Also, why would you give yourself the username "Test97531"? Was this just a one-time test that you plan on doing, or will this username be your name from this point on, as you make and post more scenes? Or will you register a different, more permanent username?

Please let me know here in the comments. You have one day to respond. If you do not respond within one day, then this username will be banned.

Thanks,
Xray, Algodoo Admin

This comment is a thingy too (but notice the spelling difference)!
The vehicle is much easier to control with the arrow keys. Good fix!

BUT.... I still don't understand what the object of the game is. In other words, where is the end game? How do I know if I won or lost the game? WHERE am I supposed to move the vehicle TO???????? Your instructions state: "Travel around the box into the black region to see what happens." Well, I did that and nothing special happens. I don't get it! :s
This is a VERY useful tool, which I will definitely use. Thanks!

Just one question: The parameter labeled "Split(str, delimeter)" doesn't seem to do what I was expecting it to do. No matter what character I enter as a delimiter, your function always displays square brackets in the output string. Am I not using it correctly, or does it have a bug?

EDIT: Never mind! I just realized I was not using it correctly, but I figured out how to properly use it. It works perfectly!!!

JohnG -- Not sure what's going on but try this.... After you modified the scene on your computer, save it with a slightly different name. Maybe add a period or exclamation point, or something like that. When you upload it to Algobox, it will appear to be a totally different scene because of the different scene title. That might work, but if it doesn't I don't know what else you can do. I hope it works for ya.
Happy birthday, Dark Racer! And thanks for giving back my blue marble!
The Linkage -- I don't think you understand what happened here, so I will explain it. JohnG posted a scene which included a personal message in it to another user. I deleted the scene, and told him that he can repost the scene if he first gets rid of that personal message in his scene. That's what he was referring to in his comment.
Well, you should have stated that in your scene description. No one can read your mind. Well, I know that I cannot!
Holy cow.... You sure do like lasers! :o I viewed your other scenes, and although you tend to use a ton of lasers in your scenes, they are still nonetheless impressive! Nice job.
FRA32 -- Not sure if I would ever need something like this in my future scenes, but nonetheless, it is very clever. Nice work, and I am looking forward to more of your interesting scenes.

Oh, by the way, I recall user kilinich posted a scene or two in which he also found some useful class type variables in Thyme. If you haven't done so already, you could click on his username in order to list all of his scenes. Maybe you will find the one(s) I am referring to.

You made a lot of incorrect statements in your scene (Are you related to Donald Trump?).

1. You said, "This box is 1000000 kg, You must have a strenght of ∞ on your drag tool to drag this box"

Well, actually, I was able to drag that box with my drag tool set to 1*10^10 Kg.

2. You said, "To have a strenght of ∞ on your drag tool, You have to copy the "∞" symbol and paste it in the "Strength" option in the drag tool"

Well, actually, you do not need to copy and paste the ∞ (infinity) symbol. You only need to enter +inf into the strength parameter box. But, as we now know, that will not be necessary because you only need a strength of 1*10^10 to move your heavy box.

3. The title of your scene is, "Heaviest box in Algodoo"

Well, the only way you can make that claim is if you actually checked each and every scene in the entire Algobox archive for heavy boxes, and there are 169264 scenes!

See, we check the accuracy of what people claim here in Algobox. It's a way of keeping people honest. ;)

Oh, one more thing..... Algodoo is not a place. Algodoo is the name of the physics simulation program that you downloaded into your computer, and which allows people to create scenes. This portion of the website that allows people to share their scenes with others is called Algobox. Algobox is a place, and Algodoo is a program. Got that straight now?

I wish there was a way to permanently hook your Algo Sound files with Algodoo so that users no longer would need to activate it each time they launch Algodoo. If the sound feature was somehow made intrinsic, then I believe that people would use it. I definitely would.
SuiriusJ -- You said: "It can be used in your aircrafts, missiles, etc...", But you did not say HOW to use it. Let's say, I have an airplane. So what do I do with your yellow rectangle? How do I attach it to my airplane? What exactly does it do? :s
Harris - No, I did not say that! Read my message again, and if you do not understand it, then have your mom or dad read it and explain it to you.
Those are great ideas, but the average user (and I am referring to children) here on Algobox will not be able to do those things. I was thinking more along the lines of a special file (probably an .exe file) that anyone can download which would somehow attach itself to Algodoo on anyone's computer who would like to have the ALgoSound feature.

Ideally, it would be great if Algoryx were to release the Algodoo source files into Public Domain so that anyone can modify it and recompile it, but I doubt that that would ever happen. I am just throwing out some ideas here, but I know that they are wishful thinking.
Yes, what you described is a "Voting" scene. Think of it this way: ANY scene in which the creator requests user comments from others is an illegal scene. So, no voting, no Q&A, no saying favorite athlete or favorite color, no announcements of any kind, no "What should I make next", and more. The list is long.

You can post all the marble races you want to (limited to 3 scenes per day) but do not post the Results of the race because that would be classified as an announcement. Get it?

I hope you understand it now.

I'll play around with that. Thanks!

By the way, in the scene, your "Notes #1" misspelled Phunlet.

Now I understand it. Good job overall!
In Algodoo, next to "File" you will see the "Options" menu. It looks like a white gear. Click on that gear. When the Options menu opens, you will see a tab labeled "Simulation". Click on that. Slide the Simulation Frequency slider so that the value changes from 60 to 120. Then back out of the Options menu and SAVE the scene. Now water should behave normally.
Much better! Thanks!
MLMoyman33 -- NO Results scenes at all! That's not what Algobox was intended to be used for. It is only for sharing scenes with other people. It is NOT for playing games.

TeraByte_Studios -- You can make Algicathlon (whatever) EVENT scenes. You cannot make Results scenes, score scenes, leaderboard scenes, or any other type of scenes that are announcements, or that request comments from other people. As I said above to MLMoyman33, Algobox is for sharing scenes. It is NOT for playing games. You kids keep wanting to change how Algobox functions, but it's not going to happen, so get used to it.

EuMesmo -- I don't understand your nonsense comment.
Nice job on the updated scene. It looks great and it works very well!
