Here's a little trick that I did that makes the kid look more natural while running. Currently, his body is very rigid, and looks like he is glued to a wagon (which is in fact the case). When a person is running, his whole body is bobbing up and down with each step. So in order to simulate that motion, I stretched the front (right) wheel so that it becomes egg shape. I then moved the kid's body far over to the front of the wagon and fixed it in place with the same axle that held his body to the wagon. I then made the scene "Follow" the wagon's box. With a little tweaking of things, the kid can be made to look much more natural while running.
I see the changes you made, but it's not quite there yet. In order to make the kid run like a real human, I suggest that you first uncheck the "follow" checkbox in his upper body, then check the "follow" checkbox in the wagon that supports him. Then increase the running speed to about 80 RPM.
Changing the follow point from the kid to the wagon may seem like it wouldn't make much difference, but it does. The difference is subtle, but noticeable.
You can avoid that kind of issue by not posting "leaderboards". Just because you sneak a marble race or some other kind of moving image in a scene does not make it okay. Other people have tried to post personal messages or announcements by hiding those messages within the scenes, but they ultimately find out that I'm not stupid or dumb. I've said this many times before, and I'll say it again.... Algobox was put here for people to share dynamic scenes that they have made with Algodoo which is a physics simulation program. Algodoo is not a "paint" type program for making cute little colorful cartoon people, although that's mostly what kids use it for. Here is a list of types of scenes which are not allowed:
1. Signups
2. Q&A's
3. Who dunnits
4. Leaderboards
5. Announcements
6. Personal messages
7. Voting
8. And other similar text message type scenes.
First offense will usually get a warning. Second offense will be banned for a few days (usually 3 or 5). Third offense will be banned forever.
lololoer... Did you know that the man can get stuck in the tight angles of the attic where it is very narrow? I had to pull him out with the drag tool.
Is the light supposed to turn on and off? I was not able to do that no matter what keys I pressed.
WOW! This is absolutely amazing! How did you come up with the idea to make a ball bounce? This scene is awesome! It deserves a solid 10+++++ rating. And the truly incredible thing is the fact that you did all this without any Thyme scripting at all! I am speechless! You are sooooo talented.
@usef -- "Signups" and other similar type of scenes are not necessary, and are just a waste of people's time, and a waste of space on the Algodoo server. Also, the thing that most of you kids don't understand is the fact that Algobox (this portion of the Algodoo web site) is NOT a game. It never was a game, and we don't want it to turn into a game. People can make games with their scenes (such as marble races), but Algobox should only be used for sharing your scenes with other people. It should not be used as a platform for playing games by judging colored stick people (you call athletes), or playing "who dunnits", and those sorts of things. Like it or not, that's how it is, and that's how it will remain. Don't try to turn Algobox into something that it was never intended to be.
What do you mean, "Bomb help me"??? That makes no sense. Are you trying to make an Algodoo bomb but need help with it? So far, all you made in this scene is a tsunami, not a bomb!
@pb10 -- The rules were updated because most of the people who use this web site are young children, and the rules were originally written in a way that only adults can understand them. Those original rules (known as "Terms of Service") are still there, but as a collaboration between Algoryx (the company that owns this web site) and myself, we rewrote some of the rules, and we also added some rules that were needed because they were not in the original rules document. Now, even children will have a much easier time reading and understanding the rules. If they do not understand them, they should ask an adult or older teen to read them and explain them.
Sorry, but this is too weird! I press a key, and then some window or panel pops up in some random location, and it doesn't make sense. No graphing calculator that I have owned works in this fashion.
According to the text in your scene, this is supposed to be a "walking lizard", but it doesn't seem to walk. It articulates but it doesn't translate. So, what's going on, Mr. s_noonan? Is it the scene or is it me that's malfunctioning? lol
