lololoer - There's nothing wrong with using other people's script ideas. That's why Kilinich posted it in the first place, so others could use it and learn from it!
Lifestyle94 - What are you talking about? There are no instructions that say to "Press and hold [Enter] for a one-two seconds". All it says is "Click on one of the red buttons"
EDIT: I made those changes and it works great! The only thing that doesn't look quite right is the angle on the faces of the pins that contact the balls. I just sort of guessed at it and cut them by sight. It's not perfect, but it works. I believe that the angle of the guide channels for the pins is not correct, but changing that would require a major rework which I don't want to bother doing.
I'll go ahead and post it as-is, and let someone else tweak it as desired.
Sorry, but I still don't know what you are talking about. What keyboard on top? I see only one keyboard in the scene, It's white with some red buttons, and there is no "help box". There is only a help key, but it is not active. If I'm having so much trouble finding your instructions, then other people probably have trouble too! I searched all over your scene and I could not find your instructions.
Nice job overall, but the "needle" breaks much too easily when the up or down arrow keys are pressed too long. You should put limits on how far the needle is allowed to rotate up or down to prevent breakage. Just a friendly suggestion!
BezKomentarza1410 - Please use titles and descriptions that make sense, rather than to just run your finger along your keyboard keys (like: GFKJGKJ and SDFSDFSDF). A good title is one that describes what the scene is or what it does. People will appreciate that more than just seeing a line of nonsense letters.
Interesting scene, but I don't know why anyone would want to do this because Algodoo already has tracers. But I did play around a little with your scene and I made a couple of minor changes that seem to work well. I made the spawned circles non-transparent, and I turned off circle cake. Here is a copy of my spawned circle script:
The tank works Okay for a while, but the track is very loose and tends to bunch up especially when changing directions. If you can fix that, then the scene will be worthy of high ratings.
Julian - I know you are new here on Algobox, and so I am giving you a friendly suggestion about your scene. Rather than use your name as the title, it's best to use a name that describes WHAT the scene is about, or what the object in the scene does. An example for this scene would be something like, "Reloadable Assault Rifle".
Thanks, and I hope to see more of your Algodoo creations!
Interesting that only one strut at a time is fully engaged.
I improved the smoothness slightly (less bouncy) by reducing the Restitution of all components to 0.10. Other than that, the scene works well, and the only other thing that would improve it aesthetically (IMHO) would be to add metallic textures to the components.
I can think of one advantage and one disadvantage of artificial tracers.
Advantage: You could turn the tracer on and off with Thyme script. You cannot do that with a regular tracer (as far as I know).
Disadvantage: When making a short tail (Time To Live only a few seconds) there's no problem. But if you make the Time To Live value very high or infinite, then it will spawn zillions of circles that will eventually cause excessive computer LAG.
s_noonan - This is a great idea for a scene, but I believe it could become even greater if you wanted to put more work into it. It would be a good education tool if you were to place an observer at some point along the path of the moving sound generator, and plot the apparent delta frequency as the sound generator passes the observer.
