Hi Norg,
Yes, I am still active on Algobox. Click on my user name and you will see all of my scenes, including the most recent ones.

I see that you like to make scenes that create Lissajous Curves . I made some of those kind of scenes too using sine and cosine math. They sure do make some pretty patterns!

TommyHale -- What are you srry about? :s
I never heard of Akinator until now. Yes, my game is similar!

"who is Howard Modrey?" --- Just a childhood friend of mine. No one on Algobox would know him.
This is very hypnotic!

Nice job.
No particular reason. It's just a name that popped into my head.
Thanks, Dark Racer. Yes, I always enjoy making scenes with Algodoo.
Good job!
Wow, s_noonan! You must have spent many hours coding this scene. Nice work!
Nice job, DrBalk!

I do have a couple of suggestions for your consideration:

1. Disable the Algodoo clouds. They serve no purpose for this type of scene, and they can be quite distracting.

2. Show a running total of tools used similar to the way s_noonan did it in his version of the scene. I suggest this because it could be a nuisance for a teacher to search through the Algodoo directories in order to try to find the desired file each time. Make things easy and convenient for the users!
Such a poor post.
Well, it's your prerogative to purposely post a poor pun, but be prepared to propel into purgatory if you continue to post your poor prose. Even Peter Piper had a more purposeful prerequisite which was much more palatable than your pitiful and provocative patter.

My head hurts.

Oh, yes he IS banned, and PERMANENTLY. The reason? Well, he tries to convince his playmates that he was banned just for "accidentally using the F-word". That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life! He knew exactly what he said, and he knew the consequences of using profanity here on Algobox, but he did it anyways. That arrogant and disrespectful kid thinks he can get away with anything, but not this time. He has been banned about 4 or 5 times in the past for good reasons, and until now I gave him lots of chances to clean up his act, but when he posted that cuss word he blew his last chance that he will ever get here on Algobox.

By the way, he recently threatened Wild Bill and me that he will continue to log in here using alt accounts until one of us answers his questions. Well, I have some news for him.... Are you listening, Ultragamer564? EACH time you pester Wild Bill or me, in any way, I will DELETE 100 of your Algobox scenes beginning with the newest ones and working back to your oldest ones until your history is completely wiped out. So, you'd better think twice before threatening either of us again.

Xray out.
I noticed that too, but I haven't the foggiest idea why. A W.A.G. is that it has something to do with the fact that 5 and 10 are in synch with a particular moon phase, which causes the stack pointer to overflow at the same time and in the same manner.

I'll be busy for a while now 'cause "Forged In Fire" is on.

Later....
His legs and arms move, but I wouldn't call it dancing. Sorry, man. Maybe he needs some work to loosen him up!!!!!!!
FRA32 - Thanks for the treatise on my scene! I also appreciate the links that describe L-systems and how they work. I am not even close to being the math wiz that you are, and so I have to THINK a lot harder than you do when trying to understand a new math concept.

The wonderful thing about many math equations is the fact that they can be "tweaked" in various ways to produce amazing and unexpected patterns. I never get tired of doing that!
The dvd hit a corner 138 times over the last 17 hours. Now my wife is at the pharmacy buying a dozen boxes of Murine eye drops for me.
Ummm... I don't get it. When I start Algodoo, nothing happens. Nothing turns or moves. I discovered that I can give one or more of those circles a spin with the drag tool, but the scene doesn't make any sense. Can you give some instructions about how this scene is supposed to be used, and what it all means? I understand electronic components (resistors, capacitors, transistors, etc) but nothing in this scene looks like or operates like any of those things.

Thanks
Can you give an example of how "parameter E" is used in Thyme script? I have no idea what you are talking about, and so an example might help me understand it.

Thanks!
I can probably help you but I first need to understand what you are trying to do. First off, you said: "I need help constructing a turntable type steering...". What is a "turntable type steering"? Please explain in detail what that is, and how it is supposed to work. Secondly, you said: "the problem with the one i have is that it is hard to get out of the turntable." Could you explain what a turntable is, and how it's supposed to work? I don't see anything in your scene which looks like the kind of "turntable" that I am familiar with. What I see here is a horizontal track and a vertical track. Is that what you call the turntable? If you can clear up that confusion, then I (and maybe someone else) will be able to help you.
The "secret" is in the texture.:*)
That kind of confusion seems to be consistent throughout UnityDogGaming04's scenes. I intend no insults or verbal attacks toward him. I am just stating a fact that, in my opinion, most of his scenes make little sense, and they are difficult to interpret. This particular scene is no different. :s And each time that I left a comment with a suggestion or a question, he NEVER responds with his own comments. Maybe he thinks he is so smart that he doesn't need or want any suggestions from others.
Very clever! Nice job!

Just a couple of suggestions:

1. Disable the Algodoo clouds. They are not necessary for this scene, and they can be very distracting.
2. The arrows fade out after 5 seconds. Either make the fade time selectable by the user, or make it infinite.
3. The arrows get created when using ANY of the Algodoo tools, but that can be a problem because you do not want arrows being generated when trying to add gears, polygons, or other geometries to a scene. Maybe make the arrows work only when the Drag or Move tools are being used.

Thanks!

By the way, "wild bill" is now the official Algobox Admin. I still help him occasionally, but most of the duties are on his shoulders now.
Nothing happens when I run Algodoo. What is this scene supposed to do, and what are the control keys?
Jakub -

You said: "2. That's the point". Oh, so the delayed fadeout is supposed to be that way? I obviously did not understand how these arrows are supposed to be used. It makes sense if they are supposed to be temporary, but I still don't understand what they are intended to be used for. Sorry, I am not familiar with the game WarCraft.

You said: "Also don't know how to "read" which tool's is active". I don't know how to read which tool is active either but I know how to select them. For example, if you want to force select the Drag Tool, the command is: Tools.DragTool.SelectTool .....And it's the same command for all other tools, just change "DragTool" to whatever tool you want to be selected. For example: Tools.BoxTool.SelectTool. I'll let you know if I figure out how to determine which tool is selected.

You said: "For me, YOU are the only admin!" ...Awwwww, how sweet! :*)

You said: "Guess who get "A" from programming?" .... Ummmm, kilinich????
LOL  LOL..... Just kidding. CONGRATULATIONS!

You said: "Funny thing is that they only know how to play it, not how to program it" .... That's because they never seriously explored it! Algodoo is just a simplified version of some other script type programming languages. It has similar commands, and similar handling of memory functions. For example: scene.my.variable2 = 3.14159. It can also handle reading indexed arrays, but it does not easily write to indexed arrays. For example: It can read array data like this: _CatVariable = scene.my.DogArray(27), but it CANNOT write (store) that same array data like this: scene.my.DogArray(27) = _CatVariable. That has been a complaint of mine for many years, although there is a workaround to make that work.

You produce some really good scenes, and so I hope you can spend more time in between your schoolwork making and posting more really good scenes.
Hey UnityDogGaming04..... Why don't you reply to my comments? I write suggestions sometimes, and I ask you questions, but you never reply. WHY? :s
Jakub --

I noticed an error in your code. Each time I create an arrow, Algodoo prints error messages in the console because of two invalid commands in postStep. One is _down(true) and the other is _up(true). You need to remove (true) in both cases. So, if you edited them correctly, one will be _down, and the other will be _up. You can execute the code in a local script simply by writing its name!

That's all!
s_noonan -- Is "skew" the same as "translate"?

EDIT: Never mind. I found this which explains it fairly well: Skew Lines

Qwertyopilis -- Yes, marble races have ALWAYS been allowed. You just won't see too many of them being posted these days because people are tired of them. Now, most of the kids post scenes with stick men "athletes", and they have camps and "Algocathlons" (whatever they are). If you are not sure about the rules and the Terms of Service, click on "Rules" at the top of any Algodoo web page.
s_noonan said: "Skewing the object is no problem, but I can't figure out how to make the image match the object."

Would you be willing to complete this scene which includes "Skewing"? I would like to play with it to see if I can make the image match the object. If you don't want to make the temporary scene public, just do what you did before, that is, upload the scene and then immediately delete it. You don't need to provide a link to it because I can find it through your username. Just let me know when it is ready for me to download it. If by some miracle I figure it out, I'll send you the instructions of how I did it so that you can post the scene in your name. What say?
I am a private pilot. If the gauges on the airplane that I was flying acted like the ones in your scene, I would start to pray because the airplane will soon crash! LOL

All kidding aside, you did a great job on these, and they look realistic. Now, put them in an Algodoo airplane simulator so that people can fly it!!!
