ZachKiller12 - Someone from Algoryx sent you a new password to your gmail address. You should then be able to log-in. Let me know if you still have problems.
ZacnKiller12 - I'm happy that it's working for you now.

I don't play minecraft. Most "older" folks (like me) don't play those games that were made for children.
s_noonan - Just curious, how is your script that you suggest any better than the script that I suggested in my earlier comment?
X03-DAN-FR - Did you try the script that I suggested? It worked Okay for me when I was testing it!
Mastasmastas1111 - Don't be an idiot. It's a random word generator. If it happens to spell a "bad" word, well, that can happen. But you need not repeat it here in the comments. <_<
So? I'm not your father.
I don't think you understood what I said. Did you?
Hey, why don't you make a really awesome scene? I mean, don't spend five minutes on some goofy fnaf monster. I mean take some time and make a scene that people would enjoy playing, and you will be proud of making, like a space shooter game, or something like that. You could do it!!!
s_noonan - Yes, I did try your code and it works quite well. I totally agree with what you said about controlling the spring force to control the speed of the piston rather than controlling the piston like a brake. In the "real world" I of course do things differently than I sometimes do in Algodoo. Like most people here, I do things out of convenience and also because I have experience doing things a certain way.

X03-DAN-FR obviously has a little trouble with English, and that makes things more difficult to understand than if that issue wasn't an issue. I hope that he will resolve this by carefully reading the suggestions that both of us had given him.
Sorry, but that would be like trying to explain how to build a car, including the engine, transmission, and all other details. It would take a very long time, and time is not something that I have a lot of. I suggest that you find a scene that you like from the Algodoo archives, and try to figure out how it works. Don't copy it, but get some ideas from it for your own scene. Some of my first scenes were not very good, but after trying different things, and getting some experience, my scenes got better in time. Just do your best, and in time your scenes will be awesome!
SuperSwag360 - No, I don't hate you. But I will remind you that people can have only ONE user account here on Algobox. So, decide which one that you want to keep as your account name (SuperSwag360 or nitrix119) and I will ban the one that you do not want. please let me know soon, because if I do not hear from you, then I will pick one myself to ban.

Thanks for being honest with me! ;)
Your nitrix119 account is now officially banned.

Thanks
s_noonan - كنت موضع ترحيب!
bossay6 - If you are asking about joining the Marble Race group, these "groups" are not the kind of groups that you join! They are only used for searching and for listing certain categories of scenes. For example, let's say that you are only interested in Marble Race scenes. Well, if everyone who uploads Marble race scenes selected the marble Race group during the upload process, then you could select only the Marble Race group, and you will then be shown all of the Marble Race scenes. In a perfect world, it would work that way, but unfortunately, very few people select the Marble Race group when they upload their Marble Race scenes. So, if you happen to select the Marble Race group while searching for scenes, you will see very few of them. Until people start using the groups like they were intended to be used, you will not get the expected results for your searches.

I think it's moving because of vibration from the engine. I found that I could stop the movement by increasing the Friction of the main body to infinity. Let me know if that will work for you, and if it doesn't then we can try something else.
Okay, no problem! Thanks for explaining your situation. Sometimes people will register more than one user name so that they can give themselves high ratings. We do not allow that, and that's why I was asking about the different user names that have the same IP address (which means that the different users are on the same Internet network). Since Kole is your brother, everything is Okay! :)

I like the X-ray ball!
EDIT: I changed my comment because I did not like what I said the first time! :)

Being an Algodoo Admin is a responsibility that I gladly accept because I firmly believe in the usefulness of Algodoo and I try my best to maintain Algobox so that it remains a friendly and educational place where all Algodoo users can share their scenes with minimal conflict. Yes, there are times when I have to play the part of the Algobox police officer who warns people when they break the rules. Some people hate me because they cannot accept authority telling them what they can and cannot do, but that just goes along with the job. I try my best to be fair and friendly to people, but it's a two way street. If people are civil and friendly with me, then I will certainly be the same to them! But unfortunately, not all people are civil and friendly. You should see some of the hate messages that I occasionally receive! Does this job pay well, you ask? NO! There is no payment at all. Being an Admin is strictly voluntary. There are times when I feel like I want to quit this job and just continue making scenes without having to worry about all the little personal "issues" that come up on a daily basis. The most frequent complaint that I receive is people "stealing" other people's scenes and uploading them as if it were their own. It takes a lot of my time to investigate those complaints, but I have to do it in order to keep the peace. Sometimes arguments will break out in the comments section of a scene, and people will sometimes say very nasty things to each other. When it gets that bad, I will sometimes have to ban a user for a number of days so that they learn that it's not Okay to threaten another user or to fire profanity at them.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, and there is a lot more that goes along with being an Admin. Contrary to some people's belief, I am not a power-hungry dictator! I do what I have to do to enforce the rules, and some people just simply cannot live with that, and so they hate me for it. That's the part of being Admin that I do not like at all!

I've rambled enough now, and I hope this answered your question.

Thanks! :)

screw who?
Interesting use of laser rotation! Overall, the scene was well made, and is a good tutorial, but I believe it could be even better if you were to add some text that explains the basics of wave interference, and what the scene is demonstrating. Without supportive text, I think the scene is meaningless to some people who don't have a clue what they are looking at.
No prob. It was just a suggestion. :)
Cool! Nice job!
:bonk:
You can post a video that's on YouTube by placing at the end of the web address (do not put spaces in between). When it posts, you should see a thumbnail of the actual video, rather than just a link that shows like this in comments:

video on youtube

NOTE: The url must be "http" and NOT "https"!

Then after you post it, you should see the actual video thumbnail. Try it!

You can read about this and other posting commands by clicking on "Help" that is next to the "Add reply" button below.....

No, questions don't bother me at all! But there are some questions that I cannot or will not answer, and those of course are personal questions. ;)

I got interested in Algodoo about three years ago when I happened to learn about the program from a YouTube video that I was watching. I enjoy physics, and I love to program (I used to work as a professional software engineer). I no longer work as an engineer, but I still love to create programs, and that's why I was attracted to Algodoo. It allows me to create scenes with Thyme scripting language, which is different from the programming that I did as a professional, but there are many similarities. So, it allows me to keep my hands in programming, but without the daily pressures of having to keep within a budget and a time schedule.

Okay, now you tell me about how YOU got interested in Algodoo! Also, what is your approximate age (no need to be exact if you don't want to), and what type of work do you do, or what type of school do you attend?
Your older Rotary Encoder scene seems to work much better than this one! I say that because the counter in this scene is erratic. The numbers flicker up and down without any kind of reason, and when the encoder wheel is stopped, especially when a laser is sitting on the edge of an optical segment, the signal will sometimes jitter like crazy, and one of the signal wheels will spin, even though the encoder is stationary! I think it needs a little adjusting. ;)
Did your cat finally return home? I know what it's like to lose a pet that I love, but thank God that he came home after a while. I didn't want to kill myself, but I was awfully sad for a while.

Nice story, and I hope it turned out good for you! :)
It works correctly now! So, whatever you did, fixed the problem of the counter not inc/dec properly.

Now, I can give it a solid 10!
Hey, that's great! I had no idea that you were only 11. I thought you were much older than that because you write in a mature manner.

Thanks for the awesome chat! :)
He's very athletic.
