I disagree. In his description of this scene, he was very specific that he modified YOUR scene. But, in any case, it appears that you are rather upset about it, and it apparently does not matter whether he gives you credit or not, you do not like the fact that he modified your scene and uploaded the modified version BEFORE asking your permission if it would be Okay to do so. Therefore, I suggest that you contact lethalsquirrel either through the forum PM (personal message) system, or through these comments, and tell him how you feel about it, and tell him what you want done about it. If you want this scene deleted, and if you cannot get a response from him, then let me know and I will delete this scene. I will also try to contact him to explain why his scene was deleted. We Admins try our best to help keep the peace here on Algobox, and sometimes it becomes a real struggle for us. In most cases, people are understanding and agree with whatever decisions are made.
Lethalsquirrel - I only delete scenes that violate the Algodoo Terms of Service (TOS), and also for a few very limited reasons such as when the original author of a scene convinces me that their scene was copied without permission and uploaded as if the person who copied it was the original author. In this particular case, Jimmyfisherman expressed the fact that he was upset about his scene being copied without permission, but he never asked that it be deleted. Therefore, the ball is in your court now. If you feel that it would be best to delete your scene in order to "keep the peace", then that decision is completely on your shoulders. If you want to delete it, but you cannot because you use the Algodoo internal browser, then let me know and I can delete it for you.
This is not a marble race. Try making a scene that has some action in it. That's what Algodoo is for. It's not a paint or drawing program. If you need help, ask an adult to help you make a simple action scene.
A Lucas - Absolutely! Contests are still allowed but with one exception. We still do not allow "Message" type scenes. For example, if you make a scene that announces a future contest, or if you promote a particular contest by writing a text only message, then those type of scenes are not allowed. Algobox is not a forum, and we do not want it to turn into one. Algobox is only for displaying active scenes. So, if you want to announce a contest, then make an example scene of what your contest is about.
Copying other people's scenes is not "stealing". In fact, we encourage it! What better way is there to learn how to do things than to copy other people's scenes to see how they did certain things? It becomes "stealing" when you copy someone's scene or parts of their scene, and then upload it without permission as if you were the original author. Some people do not have a problem with that, and other people go completely bananas when you do that. I receive more complaints about "scene stealing" than any other issue.
If the down arrow key is held until the needle gets to the counter-clockwise limit, the needle then goes nuts (becomes unstable) and remains in that condition until you reset the scene.
Apparently, this is one of those scenes which is computer-dependent. In order for the output valve on my copy of your scene to operate properly, I had to increase the density of the three valve components, and I also had to reduce the sim frequency. Now it works smoothly as it's supposed to.
The track looks yellow to me. But besides that, what does this scene do? You give no instructions how to move things around the track. Is this a race of some sort?
Without labels and notes that explain what a capacitor is and how it works, this scene probably doesn't make sense to anyone except for a few electronic geeks like me.
A simple animation can be made by displaying a series of still pictures, one right after the other, so that the result appears to be a moving image. Look through the Algobox archive of scenes for examples of animations, and you will find some very simple ones and also some very complex ones that require the use of Thyme scripting.
Here is one example of an animation that I did: Girl Dancer
