Maybe your father will buy you a new computer, or at least get that broken one fixed. It is important for your education! I would be happy to convince him to do that for you if he will log in here on Algobox. He can also send me a PM, and I will try to convince him to buy you a new computer. Okay?
Hey lompilomp, do you ever reply to comments, or are you the type of person who just likes getting comments? Is there a chance you might reply to THIS comment?
That's good! In fact, that is an old trick used by electronic technicians to get equipment up and running again. Sometimes electrical contacts become oxidized or corroded, and unplugging connectors or i.c's and then plugging them back in will clean the contacts and make a good connection again. I have been an electronics technician during most of my adult life, and that's a trick that I have done many times before!
Not weird at all. That's how people (and gears) get when they drink too much strong coffee every day.
Okay, jokes aside..... The gears are shaking because they all have the same collision layer, and they are held together with axles. It's kind of like what happens when you try to force two magnetic poles together that are the same polarity (both north or both south) they try very hard to get away from each other. You can stop the shaking by making each gear a different collision layer (make one A, another B, another C, etc). Normally, you would not clump all those gears together in a nonsensical manner as you did. And so that would not happen in most properly designed gear mechanisms.
The correct nomenclature for "wind brake" is "FLAPS". Well, that's what we call it here in the U.S. Maybe in other countries it is called "wind brake".
Anyhow, you did an excellent job on this scene. I rated it a 10.
The Linkage - Well, that's very confusing. The title says "RPM" which means "Revolutions Per Minute". Also, no one except for engineers use rads as a unit of rotational speed. Mechanics and industrial control techs always use RPM. But regardless of what the units are, he should show the units/time on the readout to eliminate ambiguity. Just my humble opinion.
faytree - I tried this scene recently, and it doesn't seem to work any more. What happened to it? How do you "TOSS" the coin when it is glued to the background?
It's your scene and you can do it any way that you want to even if it happens to be confusing. I just make some suggestions that will help make the scene less confusing for other people, and it's up to you if you want to use my suggestions or not.
Yeah, that propeller animation that The Linkage made is quite clever, and it looks realistic. You might need to scale it up or down to make it fit your airplane, but that should not be too difficult.
Don't tell me what I should or should not hide! I am the Admin for this website, and if I see something that I think should not be made public, then I will delete it. Rude comments, profanity, threats, and those sorts of comments WILL be deleted.
Holy cow! Did you say "SIMPLE"? You must have spent many hours writing all that complex code! How did you learn to do that? You must have an extensive background in programming. I'm totally impressed!
