Thank you this helped and im going to incorperate this into my design
just be careful with patent laws ;)

The one the thumbnail shows is the firing mech for the M16. The AK 47 is on the right

Wow, this a really cool! I'm sure it would be very helpful for someone to understand how the firing mechanisms work on those two ubiquitous AR's, and it could be a great educational tool in a beginning gunsmith course.
