Can you beat this score?

The water will fill until the float reaches a set point then the simulation will pause and display how much time it took to get there.

It displays the sim time and is affected by lag in a small way. The decimal amount makes a big difference so should be considered as the score. Over or under 5.00 for modern PCs. If you hit 6.00 you probably need an upgrade.

Phun runs this faster than Algodoo, i would think it must have less instructions between event updates.

I tried to Google "Windows Zver v9.12.2" with no luck @ Lifestyle94, is this some sort of windows Mod like Windows Yeti?

Its best to close down Phun/Algodoo between each test so you memory is recycled, otherwise i have seen a drop in performance. :tup:

You can set it to run on 2 cores from the windows task manager/processes. I found that if i set more than 2 it then didn't work very well?

Also from the task manager you can set the process priority, none of this has changed my score, i was trying to get a better score :bonk: )|( :lol:

wow...I had a 4.8899999 in phun. Thats faster than anyone else,plus, i had internet running too! sweeet ...and i think i had this computer for a few years now:D i rate 10/10 because u prove my pc is fast

I'm also very interested in the lower scores, Its very important during a bench test to gather all peoples scores even if there not top. Supply as much info about your computer as possible.

Given plenty of information I will be able to compute a conclusion and us phun addicts can get the most out of this excellent software.

Nice, reasonably consistent. But, remember that this program only uses one core, I'm sure the score would be much better if it used all cores.

My score is usually around 5.0 +/- 0.2 or so.

System:
Q9300 @ 2.50GHz
GeForce 8800 GTS 512
2 GB 800MHz DDR2 SDRAM
Slackware64 13.0 (64-bit, 64-bit phun as well)

P.S. lowest score was 4.799999

4.8 is a good score.
I have used this with 2 cores by selecting Processor Affinity from the task task manager/processes. It dose not seem to make it faster but instead shears the load.

I also set the priority in the same way. made it slower?

@ WillyWonka It dose not count in real time, only simulation time, that's why we don't get massive differences in our scores, but this is the hole idea.

If you where to count to 100 'accurately' while doing other tasks at the same time, it would effect your accuracy.

This bench-test, tests the ability of Algodoo/PHUN to running on your PC to run this simulation accurately (important for physics experiments). :tup:

5.1 is a good score, whats your computer Spec?

I just updated to Windows 7 and got a 5.92 <_<
