A robotic arm made by the PoC. In an attempt to make a robotic arm that can be used as a component in a variety of complex scenes, PoC came up with this.
The robotic arm is easy to program, but ultimately the number of arguments that the game has to process make it unusable in complex scenes. Get some ideas for how to improve the thyme - back to the drawing board for now. Arm coding by RaRaMalum, arm program by Paradigm 29.

How to program
Write "scene.my.program()" for each new position you want to add and fill in the argument with (start time, end time, current position (x), current position (y), destination (x), destination (y), claw open/close (-1 or 1), 0).

Looks like: scene.my.program(0, 2, 0, -4, 1, -2, 1, 0)

It's not a great explanation, but if you really cared then that's enough for you to figure it out :lol:

Oh, and you may notice that the claw wobbles and drops the boxes. That's because of lag. You'll get the correct result if you just slow the sim down. And of course, this is why the arm is too impractical for use in larger scenes. Or possibly my program is too taxing:(

Overall, nice job on the mechanism, but programming with "scene.my." variables and arguments is a pain in the butt, especially for people with little or no script experience. Much better if you can work out a way to program it using text entered directly onto the scene as it's running. Or maybe use colored balls and boxes tht represent different types of moves, and the X/Y arguments can be entered as text into the various geometries. I don't know if these ideas will work, or how difficult it would be for you to program, but the end result would be AWESOME.
